But again I think right from the start in England he showed quite a lot which also really sprung out in his numbers.
I hope you're right on Benteke. After the contrast between Suarez and Balotelli by far the main attribute I've looked for in strikers is off the ball movement. Balotelli killed the team by being unable to anticipate through balls and stay onside. In the vids I've seen of Benteke he tends to go to the far post by default and doesn't move around much. Coutinho isn't the type to make runs either which is why I desperately wanted Vietto. Any thoughts on him?

Question for the Arse guys. Does Sterling make your best 11 if you include the current squad minus Walcott?

It's not a classic pay as you play, it just requires a very high percentage of games played per season to unlock full salary

If our XI was the same as the end of the season, Wenger would prefer Ramsey to Sterling I'd assume.

Lol at wanting the same as Kane. We should keep him for 3 years on 8 grand a week and let him have a free.

Considering the amount he plays and the market of today, is somewhere in the region of 40k not reasonable?

Going by the current meerkat, Bentaleb deserves 50k pw.

Adebayor, Lloris and Soldadildo are on 100k pw. Which I assume is more than any player at SCBC*

Since Juve are being mentioned I would love for them to pay him that. It's less than what Marchisio earns (lowest earning midfield starter) but more than Evra and Barzagli. Seems reasonable enough.

Spurs need to up their wage bill yeah (tv deal and all). Market would easily pay the likes of Eriksen and Kane more than what they're on according to that article..

I wasn't laughing that their biggest earners were 'only' 100k. I was laughing because two of them couldn't hit a barn door.

Disclaimer: rumour has it that our biggest earner by far is Gaston Ramirez on 75k so I'm not sure how much I can laugh.

Yeah Vietto is an exciting player to hope for when looking for those things. Benteke of course is completely different and even when I said eye for openings I meant his passing and not his movement which you could very well be right on though some of it could be related to whatever tactical instructions he and his teammates are receiving.

But yeah in theory Balotelli is more mobile than Benteke. Obviously faster for starters so it's other things Benteke would have to bring to the table and I think he can do that very well, certainly better than Balotelli which needs to be a given, then it's a question of how effective it would in whatever surroundings he ends up in.

When it comes to Vietto I didn't keep up very well in the second half of the season but I rate him extremely highly. Excellent technique and intelligence. Mobile. More complete at this point than much hyped Dybala even if his upside maybe just maybe falls a little bit short. I guess only question-mark is him outside the very high level tactical/attacking and technical environment of a team like Villarreal which is unlike almost everything in England. But he is so good that it's hard to imagine being a flop over time

No wonder he didn't even return Emery's calls about a move to Sevilla.
