I think Schneiderlin, Vidal and Kongdobia are fantastic players. I'm fine not signing a CM. We are as deep in CM as any team in the world.

Remember that Schneiderlin and Vidal were never the deepest mf for their teams recently.

BAIDS, Wolfsburg would not have sold De Bruyne if when they called up Schalke, they couldn't get Draxler for 60% of the fee or w/e it was. They got a player who was higher rated two seasons ago for like half the price 12 hours later as a replacement.

Manchester United notes Real Madrid’s statement on the attempt to sign David De Gea and sell Navas to Manchester United. The Club feels compelled to provide some clarification with the following facts.

• Manchester United did not seek contact from Real Madrid for the sale of David. David is a key member of our squad and the club’s preference was not to sell. • No offer was received for David until yesterday.

• At lunchtime yesterday, Real Madrid made its first offer to buy David. A deal was agreed between the clubs, which included Navas being transferred to Old Trafford. The deals were dependent on each other.

• In the last several hours of the process, with Navas at the Real Madrid training ground, Real Madrid were controlling the documentation processes of David, Navas and Real Madrid. Manchester United was in control only of the documentation of Manchester United.

• Manchester United sent transfer documents for both players to Real Madrid at 2042 BST. David’s documentation was returned by Real Madrid to Manchester United without the signatory page at 2232 BST.

• At 22:40 BST, minutes before the deadline, major changes to the documentation came through to Manchester United which immediately put the deals at risk. • Only at 2255 BST were the documents that are needed to cancel David’s contract received by Manchester United from Real Madrid.

• At this point Navas’ documentation was still not returned by Real Madrid.

• At 2258 BST, the transfer agreement was sent back by Manchester United, uploaded onto TMS and accepted – all before the deadline.

• It is our understanding that the deals couldn’t happen because:

- Real Madrid didn’t upload David’s documents onto TMS in time (Manchester United did)

- Real Madrid didn’t upload David’s documents to the Spanish league in time, per reports it seems some 28 minutes after the deadline

• The fact that Manchester United filed the papers on time was acknowledged by the Football Association, who offered to support that claim in any discussions with FIFA. The Club offered this assistance, as well as its own timestamped documents to Real Madrid but they have chosen not to go down this route.

Manchester United acts appropriately and efficiently in its transfer dealings. The Club is delighted that its fan-favourite double Player of the Year, David de Gea, remains a Manchester United player.

Real Madrid should really consider getting an upgrade on their ISP and email servers. What a bunch of hacks.

To Baids:

While Arsenal are doing well financially they're still very far from Manu when it comes to revenue and obv don't have the luxury of oil/oligarch money chelsea/city have, so expecting them to be near those clubs wrt spending is unrealistic (especially given how the club is run).

Traditionally Arsenal has done poorly with commercial deals but Swiss ramble reckons the new deals with Emirates and Puma are only outdone by Manure, so depending on how much City and Chelsea will rely on their owners for $$$ in the future the gap in availabe transfer funds between the three teams could easily diminish. That said, United is still clearly #1 going forward; there are just too many ghws.

bit conspiritardy but that's more evidence that rm didnt want the deal to go through while wanting to appear that they tried to make the deal go through

--

on arse spending, yea they cant compete with mun and ive been openly wondering for weeks why mun arent blowing everyone out of the water (those numbers are pre adidas and pre chevrolet so the gap is even more pronounced)

however they should/could be competing with chelsea. i expect the latest accounts to show close to identical revenue, and having russian mafia backing is not such an advantage under ffp as long as arse are prepared to go a few years without running a surplus. but it appears they arent.

iirc i predicted at the start of this summer that arse were gonna go on a 100m spending rampage and finally use the cash they'd been saving up all these years to push for the title. perfect time to do it with mun being quite far away from the munmonster they'll probably be in a few years when they burn through tbkditw and bssditw money, and city looking vulnerable (lol how quick things change). butnah cech for 10m and thats yer lot

so much for £200m budget

The fact Real didn't want to challenge or appeal the transfer not going through should say quite a bit imo

At least United keep referring to the evidence of time stamps and backing of the FA but Madrid don't want to go that route because lol objectivity

yep, but koolaidzers ghana drink.

this was a transfer that everyone knew was happening all summer, a failure to get it done is just that, a failure. if United fans wanna believe the story their being sold, and take some kind of weird pride over the whole situation, and about losing DDG for nothing next summer, then whatever. have fun with that.

They basically wanted to **** with united for dicking around all summer. Now united is stuck with someone who won't want to play and will leave for free. If de gea doesn't play or doesn't goat it up then leaves for free this is well played Madrid and massive lol united imo.

You're missing the point.

If someone said something about you which you didn't believe to be true you would just let it be and not respond with what you believe to be the truth? Find that hard to believe.

I don't get why that is ****ing around with us?

They wanted him and it's made them look like idiots for not filing their paper work on time or not going ahead with appealing the decision, if they did i'm sure it'd get over turned.

The latter part was always likely to happen, he'd end up at Madrid next year. Hopefully his Miss' gets pissed off with manchester/england big time and leaves him so he can stay

Except United's claim has been backed by the FA who have no dog in the fight and they welcome any discussions with Fifa, Madrid on the other hand won't appeal. It's really not that difficult.

keeper theorem though.

De Gea for 1 year isn't worth anywhere close to what RM were going to pay.
