I'm trying to ignore it as much as possible because I know it's a super long shot, but there's also reports about Reus' guys being in Madrid and some journalists saying that RM agreed with the player, but have to speak to BVB. If somehow Perez pulls this out, Jesus I think there are extremely low chances though, but in that case, Kagawa back to BVB would make sense?

We’re entering the final hours [of the transfer window], let’s see if we’re able to buy an important striker. This is the main aim. Torres is definitely an important striker, let’s see if we’re able to get him or another player. Van Ginkel? It’s possible, we’ve written to Chelsea and we’re waiting for a response. We’re quite confident.

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani.

So Di Maria costed 75+5+4m euro, told you he is not going for less. He also published this goodbye letter (a few fragments):

"Unfortunately today I have to go, but I want to make it clear that I never wanted this. After winning La Decima, I went to the World Cup waiting for a gesture from the staff, that never came. A bunch of lies have been told. They always tried to make it seem like I wanted to leave, but it was never like this. Unfortunately, my football is not liked by one person. The only thing I asked for, was something that was fair. There are a lot of things I value and a lot of them had nothing to do with my salary. I hope to find them at Manchester United."

Just what a lot of people was expecting, blame it on Perez somehow. The history repeats itself, Ozil didn't have Ancelotti's confidence and Florentino doesn't like the way Di Maria plays football, makes sense. If a player of Di Maria's calibre wants to stay at Real Madrid, nobody is kicking him out. I remember Di Maria doing the exact same thing more than 2 years ago, while playing with Argentina and then he got his contract extended, seems like Perez liked his football then. And seems like he likes his football now, offering him 33m/6yrs instead of the 40m/5yrs United is offering him, but that's not fair in his eyes. Acting like you're the victim in all this, is even worse than not saying anything. Same old bs about "love" and "gestures". Fukc off imo.

Well apart from money I hear football players also like to (be sure to) start games instead of being on the bench every other week

Edit: will wear the number 5 shirt which is how many hat tricks he will score

So they basically bought Di Maria for ~20M £ less than they sold Ronaldo for.

In a world where Di Maria is worth ~60M (I think it's a bit of an overpay but I def rate him and Real were the one with the leverage so 60M is understandable) , Ronaldo should be sold for >150M

At Real Madrid, the harder working and the better player, will never be benched, let's cut this bs ok? And just in case, this is the Real Madrid bench we're talking about and except Cristiano, nobody is sure to start games. And again, one more thing, the only reason James was bought was because he said he was leaving at the beggining of the summer. Di Maria got it wrong if he thought RM won't call his bluff and beg him in their knees to stay.

Benzema just renewed his contract and I don't know what do you mean by spanish boytoy, seems like we did pretty good last season.

Utd net spend is now 1.5 Cristianos this window. Crushing the City window of 10/11 (where they got Dzeko, Yaya, Silva, Lolatelli, Kolarov, Boateng and................... Milner).

Now chasing the 03/04 Chelsea-window. May get there with a couple of decent defenders.

A spanish boytoy is a young, sexy spaniard who is very good at fütball. Like Isco.

You absolutely did have a pretty good season. Now give us Benzema.

I know you were talking about Isco, but I thought you meant anything else ;D I would probably sell Benzema, but he won't move even if we get Falcao + (highly unlikely) a blonde german boytoy ;D

Not really inflation, the market has just went completely bonkers if you compare it to 2009 when real elite players were going for over 30m

Now you have Luiz going for 50.
