Yeah BBC are consistently reporting that Barca will meet the £75m buyout but there is a dispute on how to structure the fee.

I'd speculate that, much like when Spurs met Soldado's £26m buyout, Barca want to defer a large chunk of the fee based on appearances/performances, to cover themselves if(when) he bites someone - Barca will probably want to pay either a £50m straight cash fee, or £75m where it's structured like £25m up front and £10-15m a season based on certain targets.

What are the chances of Arsenal offing Jenkinson this summer?

Fyp. The same goes for Adriano, Song, Pedro/Alexis, Tello, Isco, Illaramendi, Casillas/Lopez, Morata, Shaqiri, Mandzukic, some Chelsea AMs, etc etc

I'd say 0, why would they do it? He's a solid, cheap backup, can play CB too, young and fills HG quota. Also very popular and I'd say some upside

I have no idea, I don't really know how he is thought of. Supposedly there is genuine interest from us (there is a story in one of the rags but I am told by someone at work with a few contacts that it is more than just paper talk).

This one? Not too big. If Bellerin gets quite good maybe next one, but I think giving them both a chance was a reason we went for an experienced option in Debuchy

I reckon the chances Barca write a cheque out for £75m are pretty close to zero; if they do they may as well just wait till transfer deadline day, save themselves 2 months wages and make Pool sweat on the deal to see if they cave in on the price.

Makes no sense paying £75m right now when the guy can't even play for 3 months.

Don't know about the others but Illarramendi is supposedly Alonso's long term replacement and Isco is def not a bench warmer, he played ~3,3k minutes last season, way more than Pedro/Sanchez and he's only 22yo. I think he will get even more minutes this season if Di Maria is gone.

I agree, but this is Barca we are talking about, they bought Zlatan for 66, sold him for 20 next year (after a solid season), they just bought Bravo for 12 and sold Fabregas for 30

Eventually I think they will agree some payment schedule, but doubt Pool accept some incentives deal

Despite your effort to highlight what a great club RM is, the fact remains that he wasn't in their best XI. Players of his level *should* be stars of their team instead of backups. It would make the leagues and the CL much more interesting.

Off-topic: Your definition of 'way more' is also odd.

lolz where I highlighted what a great club RM is in that post? Important player at RM >>>>>> star at Malaga, a player with 3,3k minutes played is not a backup. Nacho is a backup. Don't be mad at me bro, I know Barcelona fans wanted Isco, not my fault you got Neylol instead

Are you unable to grasp the point of my posts, are do you simply choose to make all your posts boringly about RM?

Lolz, nevermind. I thought you Barcelona fans would be a little better by now, after the season both teams had. Keep making your interesting posts about how a player with 3.3k minutes is a bench warmer. And yes he played way more than those two and also way better. Remind me to never quote a post of yours.

Regarding Jenkinson, honestly wouldn't be that surprising if he was moved on (Although they might have to drag him away). At the very least I would think a loan deal is reasonably likely at this point.

Also in relation to who comes out of the team when Theo is back, it's Giroud a pretty decent % of the time IMO, but the whole point is that there won't be a cast-iron first XI.

So many possibilities for us when everyone is healthy. I guess Sanchez is preferred over Theo as the striker? If not, i could see:
-----------Feo
Sanchez - Özil - Ox

being a real fun lineup. How good is Alexis on the left wing compared to right?

Given enough support and rest i can see Giroud having a sick season (like last season, just more consistent) too.

Ross McCormack to Fulham complete for £11m...yes £11m!

Man City sign goalkeeper Willy Caballero from Malaga on 3 year deal

Solid competition for Hart there.

I know it is a frothy market, but that's a staggering amount of money. He is 27 and has never kicked a ball in the top flight in England. I know he scored a lot of goals last season and if he does that again Fulham will think it is enough to give them a good shot at going up, but he didn't score so many the season before.

The shonky Italian at Leeds must be doing cartwheels.

That's a hell of a lot of money for him on the back of one excellent season in the Championship. The season before last he only managed 5 league goals. Alright he's had a couple of other seasons where he's been around the 20 goal mark, but he's had just as many where he hasn't hit double figures.

If he's worth £11m, what price Danny Ings?

Yep, La Liga losing a bunch of great GKs. Courtois, Caballero, Navas so far.

Bild saying that RM and Bayern are close to finish the deal for Kroos, apparently RM offer 25m and Bayern wants 30m. Is Bild better than Marca?

Also the catalan press is saying that we are getting Kroos just because Barcelona chose Rakitic instead.

Comparing goalkeepers to outfield players is completely pointless though. A second choice goalkeeper will almost never play. All those other guys still get plenty of minutes.
