Guardiola is being linked to Brazil by some media already but I dont think the brazilian FA just dont have the balls to hire a foreigner manager let alone a foreigner manager just before the world cup on home soil.

The press is talking about the fact that a foreigner manager has never won a world cup as well.

Some crazy **** just happened in Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo leading 2-0 against Tigre in the return leg of the Copa Sudamericana at half time ( first leg ended 0-0) and a fight broke ( standard ldo). Aparently security threatened Tigre players with guns and then Tigre refused to play the second half.

Been following this myself, having a sleepless night so I thought I'll watch a bit of the 2nd half, obviously switched on to see it abandoned. Apparently some of the Tigre players have cuts and bruises and there's reports of blood up the walls of their changing room, crazy ****.

The only Argentine match I've watched live this year was Independiente v Belgrano and that was abandoned at HT as well!

LOL South American football. So standard.

Especially argentinean teams, they are the worst. Just incapable of losing without starting a fight.
Obviously Tigre decided to not go back to second half because they had no shot of winning. If they were up no way they quit.

But I think Sao Paulo resorted to some **** tactics (like trying to not allow Tigre to warm up on the field) that they didn't really need to because they are by far the better team and would win on the field anyway.Tigre finished 2nd last in the ARG league and their whole game consists of trying to break players legs.

truly random: Stood 2 feet from Pep Guardiola on a subway car in east Manhattan on Sunday.

Didn't want to bother a man on his vacation so I just gave him a what's up nod and he smiled.

Still has salt and pepper facial hair going

Cool :-) It's like a very thin line (or perhaps not) between the equivalent of coming off as a losing micro SNG player trying to debate turn 3bet frequencies with Phil Galfond vs simply enganging the man in an 'intellectuel' conversation on a subject he obviously has a huge passion for. I can't really say, what I would have done. Tough spot indeed.

A quick guess would be that less than 5% of posters here have any idea who that is

the thing is i didn't have a burning question that just came to me at the time and i'm not going to be lame and ask "where are you going to work next year".

A zonal marking question or maybe asking if he thinks there's a way the sport will evolve into something even crazier than their 334 with no real centerbacks wpuldve been good

Can Pep just go around Manhattan with close to no one recognising him?

Edit: Ahhh, same observation as surftheiop

I just googled "Best NBA Coach Ever". According to some site that's Phil Jackson. Never heard of him. He would be recognized by German NBA fans, sure, just like MP2.0 recognized Guardiola, but I'm confident that Phil Jackson could ride the subways of Germany rather undisturbed.
