Racism should be stopped but nobody does anything about it, nobody cares, we have so many problems with our football ( violence outside stadiums, clashes with the cops, corrupt guys in charge of the clubs, etc) that racism is simply not even an issue.
I suspect the same may happen in eastern europe.

All racists at football matches, whether it be about colour or religion or something else are just ******ed. Not a braincell to rub together.

This banana throwing thing is a bit of a non story when there is no covergae of it, Neymar said he didn't even see it getting thrown but saw it beside him at the touchline. Also that area of the stadium was largely Brazilan fans so I doubt a Scot would have launched a banana at him in that section.

Non story without any evidence

At least they're not racist in Spain......... oh wait wtf i can imagine how that convseration went "Hey love i got tickets for the grand prix.. you know what would be a right laugh....." Jeez how do you even begin to think this was a good idea? idk it's beyond me

Is there anything actually behind the FIFA "Say No to Racism" campaign other than a few banners at football matches?
Soccer/Football random discussion & other leagues thread Quote

Occasionally a club will be fined something pathetic like £5-50k. Even for repeat offenders, there are effectively no consequences. That campaign is a joke like all of the other FIFA campaigns.

Just guessing wildly, I don't think the majority of those singing racist chants are grossly racist, they are just trying to be as offensive as possible to get under their opponents skins.

Except that wasn't racism, just an observation that Mido bore a passing resemblance to the shoe bomber Robin Reid.

Mido

Shoebomber

[ ] Racist.

On another forum I visit they are saying Neymar got booed a bit. He claimed in the press this was racist jeering and very disappointing to hear, yet he was the only Brazilian player getting booed despite the Brazilian team obviously not being 10 white guys + Neymar. It was because he was diving all over the place apparantly.

The banana incident, apparantly the banana was just lying on the sideline. Not like it was like the one thrown at Roberto Carlos which they caught on camera clearly being thrown at him. Plus apparantly that was the Brazil fans end.

Seems like its a non story from all the reports and fan discussions. There is so much actual racism going on that needs to be reported widely and dealt with that this sort of thing takes away from the issue when it actually exists.

Anyway ffs mate you love an argument don't you
Motherwell challenged for the title those seasons? Thats stretching history a bit. Obviously that was one of Celtics darker periods.

Marty is obviously a Celtic fan, he's just pointing out that everytime you post something its about Celtic, their players, manager or fans in a negative light. Funnily enough you don't do the same for Rangers despite the larger number of incidents to choose from. Its obvious where your allegiances lie yet you claim to be neutral on matters OF. All marty is doing is pointing this out.

Yes we very much challenged in 93/94, if we'd won our last three games we'd have won the title but we ****ed up and finished 3rd. 94/95 we finished 2nd but were quite a distance away in the end.

I have posted negative things about Rangers. There are no Rangers fans here that fight back so it isn't drawn out.

You're just a typical paranoid old firm fan who constantly uses the bus fare patter and it's really boring and quite sad.

..and if truth be told when I grew if I had to chose who I'd want to win Old Firm games etc it was Celtic as my brother and a lot of my close friends are Celtic fans but these days it's equal hatred.

Think what you want though

Neil Lennon's the biggest idiot in Scottish football, he gets sent to the stand in a charity match when his touchline antics have been in all the headlines this season. You'd think he could sit on his hands for a meaningless game. It's not like I'm bringing up some tiny thing just to nitpick at Celtic.
What has Walter Smith done that I need to link, or Jim Jeffries/Billy Reid etc but I don't hear you calling me a Jambo.

your post is fine if you add some context like - ****ing death threats, ****ing bullets in the posts and ****ing 24 hour guard.

as you ignore that you are not being very honest with the readers of this thread.

why no outrage over the **** Lennon has had to face this season? (i know you are not a fan but cmon dude ****ing death threats for being Celtic manager)

I already said all that was a disgrace, no matter how much an idiot I think he is he doesn't deserve any of that ****.

I hate Celtic I hate Rangers. I hate Lennon I don't mind Smith. If that makes me a hun then so be it

yup.

Walter Smith walked out on the Scotland job to take over Rangers - surely that would make you hate him?

Here's a clip of Walter Smith in action - surely that would make you hate him?

Here's a news article telling of Walter Smith being dragged in front of a criminal court for his actions on the touchline - surely that would make you hate him?

Here's a photo of Smith's face 'contorted with rage' as he gets involved with an opposition player - surely that would make you hate him?

Here's an another photo of him, this time getting involved with a referee - surely that would make you hate him?

Or would you like to tell us the real reason you hate Neil Lennon and not Walter Smith?
