13 million euros whatever that comes out to is what I've seen in a bunch of places. Roma just bought the other half of him for ~5 million euros I think.

Curious move by Roma. I think they want to buy Destro and that is a catalyst for selling Borini.

By Liverpool standards this Borini move is the deal of the century. KK would have found a way to spend 25m on him.

I think a 3 man midfield suits him as well. He is a very good player and has potential to be even better. Hopefully he can come back strong after missing an entire season.
He was glacial before, imagine what he's like now.

He has great passing range but lack of pace/mobility/tackling is a big weakness.

It was being reported that the Sao Paulo VP said that both ourselves and Real had bid for Lucas Moura but no bid had been made from Inter. It was only a few months ago that they said they had rejected a bid from Inter. This is why it's a load of bollocks and I don't believe we are in for him, a report in a Brazilian newspaper claims Sao Paulo rejected a €33m bid from us.

I'll be a bit pissed if Hoilett joins QPR, tho I'd bet i won't be as pissed as Hoilett if that is the best he can do.

Seriously nobody rates him????

Cmon Rogers, get the finger out!!!

Still looks likely he will join Borussia Monchengladbach and QPR will turn their attention to getting Craig Bellamy.

QPR signing Hoilett makes no sense considering how young he is.

Makes no sense for Hoilett to go from one struggler to what could easily be another.

No Liverpool jokes please.

Apart from that he's going to get a massive pay rise.

But he'd get that anywhere he goes.

I'm going to get a bigger one at QPR than he will elsewhere, if that's where he ends up. You could say that it is better for his career to go there than whatever top side as he will get more first team football.

He made it work in a 2 man midfield with Modric (led outfield players in minutes). I think he can sit in front of the defense and dictate play with his passing quite well.

In was thinking more of Liverpool than a top side.

I think he has the lot for an attacking mf, great touch, he is quick, can shoot, can carry the ball and can see a pass.

I'm pretty sure he's going to Borussia M. He spent a couple of years on loan in Germany, his brother plays in Germany and they have family there.

On top of that they can give him Champions League football as well as more than likely a chunkier signing on fee as a foreign club has to pay substantially less compensation cost to Blackburn than an English club would.

Duncan Castles: Manchester City will receive £5m from Tottenham for Emmanuel Adebayor. Understand that City will subsidise the player's wages. #MCFC #THFC

Don't think his wages count against FPP and that's prolly all they care about.

I've also seen stuff where city took a smaller fee so we could give him a signing on fee. Not sure which one is right but confident he isn't getting 150k+ a week from us.

Well they at least get a bit of a fee up front and get to knock ~£100k off their wage bill.

I'm not sure there was a better alternative available to them given that they so clearly want rid of him.

If you pay everyone twice as much as they are worth your going to have trouble selling players. No one's fault but their own and a necessary evil at this point.

I'm sure they'll wont lose any sleep over it after just winning the title and all. The strategy clearly worked in the end.

Yeah that's why I mentioned the signing on fee rumor.

Either way it looks to be pretty much done and we aren't going to be paying him 150-200k a week like some had speculated, that much I'm pretty confident. Like I said last week, I think it'll end up in the 5 million transfer 110ish K a week range. With the rest either being made up by City, a signing on fee, or some combination of the two.

I didn't realize Adebayor sends so much of his wages back to his charities in Africa. We should just donate 5 million a year in his name lol.
