perhaps the most interesting storyline will be chelsea. where do they go from here? obviously retaining CL with this win was huge for them, but all that means is they have avoided a big dropoff. their situation should not be much different from before. does RA invest more because they won the big cup? does the cup envy begin to fade away? will they attempt to lower the wage bill for FFP? do they keep drogba somehow considering he almost single-handedly won them the CL?

Time to leak Kagawa to Chelsea now...gogogo marketing team you can do it
Or maybe ManU will just sign Modric and we keep Kagawa that would be sweet as well

Signing Modric wouldn't affect the Kagawa transfer I think.

I think we should be looking to get at least two midfielders, so signing Modric should have no influence on the Kagawa transfer.

Incidently, I doubt we get Modric, but he, man can dream...

Dont think Modric is quite the hot property he was last year. Definitely dont want Chelsea going close to 35M for him.

However think he might make a more determined effort throwing his toys out the pram this window given the did not go to Chelsea did not get CL winners medal, stayed at Spudz for Spursday night football narrative. Spudz may have missed the boat on selling him at peak value imo.

Unlikely yeah. And yes if true, its a good deal.

Edit: I misread the article. Mourinho is willing to sell Higuain, also a Chelsea target, in order to get funds to buy Ramires for 30m.

Real are linked with tons of MF. At this point I think every last one of them is agents making stuff up. RM have a very good and stacked MF, if they get rid of Kaka or someone we can talk about them bringing someone in.

It's Hazard day! He is likely to confirm he will be joining City after the game today.

Alright we keep him then...

We don't want to sell him levy told the little **** that if he wants to sulk he can sit in the stands for a couple of seasons.
He soon bucked he's ideas up..
Nothing's changed as far as I'm concerned he won't be going cheap

If you want to pay his wages while he either sits in the stands or mails it in, good for you. If he does not want to play you have to sell imo.

Makes it a bit closer. Still think i'd take that deal though.

30M is over paying for Ramires, but I would not want to sell him for that as I think he is a fairly unique talent and I want him to be part of the new core of the team. Im not sure how many box to box players with his massive engine and flair exist out there.

Well that's a lot of nonsense. They don't need him. Also you guys have to be more realistic. If an offer of around £30m comes I'm, he's gone.

Sure but levy gonna levy ask suralex

30m prolly the minimum but we can keep him for a couple of years and still get good money.
I think if any of our players go its prolly Modric though

Yeah. Plus it is Roman Abramovich. He wont sell Ramires even if he thinks 30m is a good deal. But he could think of buying Higuain for 50m tho. Lol

This is exactly what you and others said last summer and he caused zero issues and was one of the best midfielders in the league.

I don't understand why Fergie and Mancini are not making statements about him.

If he is going to City, surely Fergie knows? So why not just come out and say "we're not getting him" ?

I said last year we wouldn't sell Modric to Chelsea and we'd sell him the following summer abroad. Still think this is what happens and definitely think it is/was the right move even if we get a few million less this summer.

Hopefully Madrid are interested, especially since they have some great players on the fringe for them. Only Prem team I'd sell him to would be City and thats only if they had a huge offer.

LOL, utterly ignoring my point that this window will be different. Also his performance this year was quite some distance from last year. I think he will push harder for a move this window.

Doubt you sell him to us as we are just not that interested any more.

Do you think Modric will be up to it for a whole 'nother year? Imagine getting offers from Real and got turned down only to see them win the CL.
