I keep seeing new posts ITT and I was hoping to see high definition pictures of white walkers or hi definition nudes khalessi/sand snake/myranda/ Sansa and all I see IS ****ING POSTS ABOUT BOOKS, please take that sheeeeeet to the lounge.

been watching moar anime lately

kinda hard to have a decent instantly perceptional genre/prestige level of a show like it is for normal tv but i have largely sorted by not900eps and maturity/adultness - apparently that means its shounen or seinen or something?. i just fire up a game or an ebook or something and get the jist of it anyway

i believe this might be one for Rei to recommend something good

Whoa, all that book talk escalated quickly.

I enjoyed Daredevil. I started to enjoy it less once someone pointed out how annoying his fat law partner could be, and then I started to get pissed off at that guy, Flobby or whatever. So whoever mentioned that part of the show, F you.

When Robert Baratheon dies... Is it actually murder? I think they hint that he was poisoned, but if so, by whom? Is it important? Is it important that one of the dudes in his hunting party got him killed? Was Cersei behind that?


Wondering because it doesn't seem like it's overtly answered but maybe just lost in the fog.

yeah, it was established (or at least strongly implied) in a conversation between Varys and Ned at some point in s1 that the squire (the Lannister cousin who was knocking off Cersei and is now a mad monk) either poisoned Robert's wine or ensured he was too drunk to safely hunt.

I'm pretty sure I recently watched the episode where they talk about that.

I think they mention that Robert was given wine that was like 3X normal strength, so he was getting even more hammered than usual, and totally unsafe to hunt a boar. He was drunk enough to call his guards off as he took the boar on one-on-one. Whoops. Although he does point out on his deathbed that he did knife it in the brain after he got mauled. So technically not poison, but heavily fortified wine that got him savaged by boars tusks. You don't hunt giant, wild pigs with a head full of Night Train. And yeah, Cersei behind it.

In the middle of a rewatch and I just watched SE3 E4 and SE3 E5 and holy **** theres a ton of clues of what was to come. I definitely recommend a rewatch at this point.

Yeah the biggest clues are about Bolton getting frustrated with Robb not listening to him. The first time around I didn't even know that guys name and couldn't care less about anything he was saying. Turns out there were like 4 scenes where lolrobb ignores his good advice.
