like that time right before his execution, Saddam was like "**** you all, I did everything for you. I want TRIAL BY COMBAT." And the gov't was like "OK sure that makes sense. Just wish you woulda said that in the first place tho." But most citizens were like "wait wut was the whole point of the trial then? derp."
And then the new iraqi gov't was like "OK we choose Aaron Hernandez." And Saddam was like "no big deal, Floyd Mayweather is my boy I'll just get him to do it for $100B". But then Floyd gave an impassioned speech about "sure maybe I could tire him out but he'll probably just shoot me. I have to pass."
But then Odin Lloyd's sister showed up and said "I'll do it." and she stabbed A-Hern right in the chest and said "SAY IT! YOU KILLED MY BROTHER!" Then she looked at Belichick and said "BELICHICK GAVE THE ORDER! DIDN'T HE!" And then Hern shot her. And so Saddam was executed anyway.
Look, I get what you're saying though I think it's a very large stretch to compare the fairly crazy moments in history to anything going on in GoT. You're essentially saying RR is crafting some masterful fictitious history that closely mirrors actual life, but c'mon, that isn't what he's doing. Omar's wooders0n FB post is pretty funny, but there's an actual element of truth to it.
