Its "one of a kind" because of this:

I mean, I could've picked "ice cream" instead of Snickers Ice Cream bars.

I will rank his pick much higher if he picks a specific brand/flavor of beef jerky, which will leave other kinds available(again though, people who pick something too similar to something already drafted).

I completely agree with ut2010 that we should be as specific as possible in our picks.

similarly I don't like the nachos pick. Its combining a ton of junk foods, and its incredibly vague and non-specific.

Personally i'm only going to draft single items(so if I want to draft nachos I would draft all the ingredients separately)

lol, beef jerky isnt junk food, its actually pretty healthy. I like it, but its a terrible pick imo.

I understand your point and I think ice cream is definitely too broad of a pick but nachos are obviously one of the all time great junk foods and the notion that you should have to pick chips+cheese+sour cream+jalapenos+etc etc to get nachos is really ridiculous. That'd be like having to pick peanuts+caramel+ice cream to get your ice cream snickers. Sorry for undrafteds but i obv don't think it matters WRT to the things i just mentioned.

Pretend you are at a grocery store and are going through the 10 items or less lane.

Regardless, every pick will be allowed. However, in my personal judging of people's picks I am going to penalize two things:

1. People who pick multiple items in one pick
2. People who pick non-specific items....at the very least I would like him to specify what kind of nachos(what brand of chips, what brand/kind of cheese, what ingredients and what brand of each, etc.)

granted these are ****ty nachos but its not like some grocery stores don't sell nacho platters that have everything packaged together.

movie theater popcorn is obviously a good pick and you can't even buy it at a grocery store.

Thats my point

If he would've picked a specific brand of premade nachos then I would've liked the pick(assuming those nachos were good tasting obviously).

However, nachos usually taste a lot better when you buy all the specific ingredients themselves, which is why I think its an angleshooty pick. It'd be like drafting "ice cream" and then claiming that you were going to have a bowl of ice cream with 10 scoops of 10 different flavors.

Pretty sure there's only one kind of beef jerky, whereas there's millions of ice cream flavors.

EDIT: I guess there's different ways to cure it and what not. RMT when you wake up from your drunken slumber, can you specify what brand?

Thought about drafting one of the best selling and well known snack foods but **** it. Gonna spew a bit maybe and go off the board.
Spoiler:

Pretzels+Buffalo Wings in one

Snyder's of Hanover Hot Buffalo Wing Pieces look like they're remnants of a Cheetos and Rold Gold Rods factory explosion.
Heavily covered in a deep orange buffalo seasoning the flavor of these buffalo wing pretzel pieces are uncannily similar to Frank's Red Hot. The merging of the warm buffalo taste with the crunch of a sourdough pretzel is a stroke of genius. Snyder's of Hanover is the #1 pretzel company in the United States (surpassing even Frito Lay), and also the global leader in pretzel sales.

if you can't drown your feelings in it while being an emo bitch or eat it as a meal while high/drunk as well just serving its traditional functions as a snack item, it shouldn't be allowed as "junk food"

beef jerky is like dehydrated steak, that stuff is almost good for you

this coming from someone that used to spend like $50/week on beef jerky too

Beef jerky is a pretty healthy alternative. Love the stuff.
As far as nachos, can someone draft chips & salsa now?

Think your pick must come in a single bag, box, or container.

To echo the others, the fun of this topic comes from being exposed/reminded about some items that you might not have had/or hadn't had in a very long time. You should be only picking items that come in a single package, not meals. Wtf? Also, beef jerky is 100% protein. In no way at all is it junk food because of it's salt content. Is tuna fish junk food? Pretty sure someone is going to draft "pizza" soon. I have not had those buffalo pretzels. Now I want to get some. The cheddar pop corn, hadn't had that since I was 6 years old, gotta grab some now. I thought Smores was borderline, at least their was a nostalgia aspect to it and it is clearly junk food. Nachos is a meal unless you are speaking of a specific brand that is packaged into one item. Also, there are more than a few beef jerky brands. Try to be specific, it will be much more fun that way.
