It really annoys me when he talks about the 2% minimum GDP expenditure on national defense for NATO countries as if it's a protection racket paid to the United States, like he seems to honestly not understand what it is.

It's also kind of nonsense to argue that because the United States engages in world historical military spending, all other NATO countries must also try to keep pace, even though they are only obligated to meet the 2% expenditure goal.

Like - the baseline isn't to keep up with the United States, that's just not the agreement.

And what does "paying up" because of his statements even mean? Did Albania cut a check? <- That's a joke.
