I disagree with this. Most people's election voting strategy is to vote "for the lesser of two evils" aka against someone. Many people weren't voting for trump, they were voting against the political establishment and he was the non political guy they heard of. (ofc many were doing so for delusional reasons (ie he tells it like it is or whatever nonsense))
Against turns the mentality into "us vs them" and anyone on them side is bad and we hate them and love our team. We've seen this work effectively all the time over history; at the very least I can't remember too many "for" type of rallying things mentioned in the history books.
Also that turkey guy is going full dictator now but I'm presuming the media dgaf tho. (if putin tried ONE of those things on the other hand...)
I'm really surprised trump went safe with VP, I'm well aware that's tradition (ie VP mostly can only hurt you) but I think he needed to swing for the fences, either go full ridic like a kardashian or somebody popular or make some deal with kasich for ohio, don't think indiana guy is gonna get him ohio. Playing it safe isn't gonna win him this election.
