It won’t matter. No one on the right actually holds the belief that “good guys with guns” will actually suppress gun violence or stop active shooters more than the harm that comes from the current gun laws. It just sounds plausible enough to stupid people and has been normalized to be an acceptable retort to the question of why a regular citizen would need/want to carry a gun.
