Some of them are smart enough to have started dumping it. A lot of the $ is owed to the fed, so lol fed there, but still, anyone loaning us $ at this point= lol them because it's obvious we're not ever going to pay the full amount of the loan back. I don't believe there's anyone on the planet who disagrees with that point at least.

Running the principle to 0 isn't even always the goal in household lending. Many more reasons why that's the case on the international scale.

The current level of debt payments is not crippling but that is due to the hilariously low interest rates they're somehow able to get away with. If confidence in the credit rating of USA#1 declines beyond a certain point things will spiral out of control pretty fast.

It's not a mystery as to how they get low interest rates.

Didn't you claim in the P forum you are an independent? If so clearly the Repubs aren't the party that will promote a liberal agenda. So I guess for you the choice is Democrats or perhaps the Green Party?

That tax leak 100% came from president bannon.

Would love to see Bannon and Miller laughing their asses off upon seeing Maddow's tweet

so I dont get it. how can this be blamed on liberal media bias. the media is not supposed to fight the fight of the liberals. they reported something. it helped trump. I mean, thats media and reporting.

This morning's NPR podcast covered ~7 headlines and didn't even mention the tax returns.

Fox News podcast led with it.

Stakes are too high for this kind of nonsense. One day you guys are saying this is the end of the free world and today it's "the media has to report any factual data they're given you guys."

They could have very easily just issued a statement that a non-credihle anonymous source presented them with very incomplete and old tax information regarding Trump and that it falls below their journalistic standards to publish the document.

Instead they PURPOSELY reported the story SPECIFICALLY in a way that makes it look like they ARE fighting the fight of the liberals while simultaneously causing the liberal movement irreparable harm.

It's just a perfect microcosm of the ineptitude and incompetence of the entire right-wing opposition movement.

Hype and not delivering = fail
Reporting exactly what trump has been saying about paying millions in taxes = fail
Getting the White House to react with a this is illegal take in the lead up = win

just to be clear btw, maddow is still better and more intellectually honest than quite literally*every* single conservative news source on cable at least

absolutely no exaggeration here either

Don't think that's true at all. Shepard Smith and Tucker both seem way more intellectually honest that lol maddow

Posted this in the politards thread but will post it here too. Took me like 2 minutes to come up with and another 2 minutes just now tweaking it and would have been infinitely better than what they did.

"Today MSNBC received an anonymous mailing containing incomplete tax information of Donald Trump. While we believe the information to be credible, it pertains to a period of time long before Mr. Trump became a public political figure. Given the source and amount of missing data, publishing the document falls below the standard of journalistic integrity we have set here at MSNBC.

We do not condone the potential illegal leaking of personal tax information but will continue to urge President Trump to willingly release his full tax returns from all years that are pertinent to his Presidential run, as every President has done before him. As someone with nothing to hide, he should have no problem doing so."

"sorry guys we got a trump tax document but we don't want to report on it because it shows him making and paying lots of money in taxes and that doesn't fit our agenda"

msnbc - i dont watch it, cable news is terrible in general. fox news isn't a news channel though and every anchor sans shep and the guy who looks like the reverend from the simpsons are horrible sycophants and shameless opportunists or useful dip****s

Because of that and other things over the years. I largely don't agree with his politics but Tucker and Smith both seem fair and honest. Maddow is just a hack.

They didn't report on it. You're pretending they did somehow. It's akin to "We have received Trump's phone bill from an anonymous source. There are no calls to Putin."

There is NOTHING newsworthy about a two-page 1040 from 12 years ago. They had no obligation to publish it.

I'd also say there is nothing particularly newsworthy about it even if he didn't pay any taxes. We all know the tax code is lol.

This is a perception war it's not a fact war.
