Viewing politics as only being cool if you support the winner is definitely a window into why everything is so dumb there.

"Well, I think the Dow was helped by the fact that, they'uh ya know, there were theories that we were gonna stay out for four or five months and ya can't do that, as a count-, you'd destroy our country if you did a thing like that. And, uh, we're gonna be opening, uh, relatively soon and we are, our time comes up, uhr, Monday or Tuesday, our, ya know the allotted two weeks, but we'll stay a little bit longer than that, but we wanna get opened very soon, I think that's a big reason it's gone up. I also think that fact that The Senate and The House, I, uh-wur, we seem to be getting along as much as you can get along, we seem to be getting along now on a, on a bill. I think that maybe had even less of an impact than the fact that we're opening up this incredible country, because we have to do that. I'd love to have it open by Easter, okay, I'd love to have it open by Easter, I will, I will tell you that right now. I would love that have that, it's such an important day for other reasons, but I'll make an important day for this too. I'd love to have the country opening up, just raring to go, by Easter."

People went into a voting booth and felt good about choosing him to lead the country. The same sort of people that think they're gonna win a large stuffed animal at the carnival by knocking over milk bottles. But replace milk bottles with 55 gallon drums of lead, and throwing a Nerf ball to knock them over. That's the degree of rube we're looking at.

The country hasn’t even really shut down besides the stock market lol. Plenty of people are still out and about and since he won’t call for a lockdown, individual county officials are making their own rules. When was the start of the official quarantine so we know when it should be over? My county in Texas just did a shelter in place starting tonight at midnight. Does our 2-3 week window start now?

The one thing I ask: GO VOTE.

Get it done.

If you're team Chillary, make calls today. You can still motivate people to vote. Go to her website and find the "make calls" feature.

If you're team Trump, I don't know what to tell you, as his campaign is a dumpster fire and I don't believe they really even have GOTV except for racism. You're gonna lose anyway. Start drinking.

Nate Silver @NateSilver538

A week ago, New York state had 87 detected coronavirus cases per 1m citizens

Here's where a lot of Southern states are *today*... the number of *detected* cases.

LA: 298 per 1m
MS: 107 per 1m
TN: 98 per 1m
GA: 98 per 1m
AR: 72 per 1m
FL: 66 per 1m
SC: 59 per 1m
AL: 44 per 1m

Other than Louisiana, which has really ramped up its testing, a lot of those states may be about a week behind the curve in New York in terms of both social distancing *and* testing/case-detection.

Obv. only talking about the olds that think this is a hoax here. Not the ones who did everything right and still got infected because Trump is telling people to drink bleach or their Gen Z grandkids would rather **** in a pile than wash their hands.

You're probably talking over my head, but I think 50-64 and 65+ were like 53/45 for Trump in the last election. You might be talking about something else though because I'm dumb.
