if you miss out on your guy on weds night (say your kicker is on bye or something) you gotta have more chances to pick someone up before sunday...

After Waivers process he's a free agent bro, first come, first serve

Also, it may be TUES morning at 3 AM EST given our settings. Every league I've played in has been Weds tho, so whichever. The date the player leaves waivers is next to their waiver status on the player screen.

that doesn't sound right. news about diff guys comes out at diff times throughout the week and they should be bid on accordingly.

The exception would be if a player plays Thurs (hopefully Yahoo fixed this, last year he didn't go on waivers until 1 PM Sunday, so there were issues) and a player that is dropped midweek. That player's waiver period starts from the moment he's dropped.

Actually im def not misremembering it should def be every night. 95% sure that's how we did it last year in the B league. (A league didn't use auction waivers)

I did take 3 real ones for that reason. Felt like I had a reputation to uphold. I took Manziel bc I was drunk and thought it would be funny to bid $2.

You may be right but I can't find anything in the settings that would support your side. Waiver period is from Gametime to Tues, which has always meant that on midnight PST Weds, highest (secret) bid gets the player and then everyone is a FA until gametime rolls around.

I guess I don't understand the concept behind keeping waiver bids a sekret. Draft bids weren't sekret why should those be?

It's just another layer of the strategy. Instead of being able to perfectly allocate your waiver budget throughout the year, you're forced to decide how badly you want a player without knowing how close your view aligns with the mob.

I can see reasons to do it either way, but this way has been standard for a while.
