Asset Destruction: Players pull a crate full of 'bombs' across the Crater and tip the crate over at the end to release the bombs. Once released, they must throw the bombs at a wall of targets. Only 13 of the 25 targets are breakable while the remaining 12 are solid. The first player to hit all 13 targets wins. In its second appearance called Asset Destruction II, players must solve a sliding puzzle that reveals the locations of the breakable targets prior to pulling the crate. Additionally, the crate and bombs inside are heavier and only 7 of the 25 targets are breakable.
Played by: Aneesa vs. Tori, Josh vs. Mechie

from wikipedia, don't really remember that challenge

Yeah I don't remember it that well but I think Tori had trouble tipping over the crate with the bombs, which is odd since strength is supposedly her thing. I think Tori is kind of the female version of Cory, looks really strong, but looks can be deceiving.

Not saying she's not a decent athlete, but she and the show pass herself off as some sort of elite challenge beast, and I'm not seeing it.

I remember it now and if I remember correctly tori never got the crate flipped over to release the balls.

They had to pull a rope down a track and at the end of the track was a bumper/stop so they had to pull it fast down the track so it would hit the bumper and flip the crate. I believe tori’s main problem was she didn't pull the rope up by the end (instead she pulled near the middle of it) causing her to pull the rope more downward and since the rope was connected at the top of the create she had less leverage.

Ideally you would pull the rope as fast as you can and as high as you could (over your head if your arms are strong enough).

My memory is that Aneesa used the momentum of her initial push to get it tipped. Tori didnt and never got enough momentum again

Smart decision by Kyle to pick the goof. Emmanuel would have smoked him

Was rooting for Kyle in the elimination as the whole house was against him and I agree with banana, Emmanuel kills him in that. Also both Kyle and Josh are somewhat taller competitors, I wonder if they would adjust the height of the bell if Ed or someone shorter was involved.

Also I don't get why EVERYONE on the show assumes its a teams final? I don't believe that was every actually stated.

The goof was an easy choice not knowing what the game is. If I am walking into an elimination and get to choose my opponent among all the guys left I think I'm choosing the goof 90+% of random elimination set ups before I hear how the game is played.

I do not understand why people aren't infiltrating the biggest team every time. There are undefeated unless the 2 other teams work together. If kyle's team doesn't win he is likely going in again - why not choose the team that is most likely to win + shake up the game to maybe get a bit of the target off your back.

So happy to see the goof gone - the watch-ability of the show is going up.

They all think its a team final for some reason. And if its a team final, would you rather split 5 way or 3 way and would you rather run with CT or Nany? Plus If its a team final, its not obvious there is another guys elimination left.

Obviously splitting w/ 3 > splitting w/ 5, but considering TEEJ hasn't given teams with more players a handicap in any of the dailies I think I like the EV of the team w/ 5.

Josh is so delusional. He thinks if he works out enough or whatever he can reach his dream of making a final. The guy doesn't have the athletic ability. It's like someone who can't sing trying to win American Idol. He'd be better off directing his energies elsewhere tbh.

Also in reading the Challenge reddit threads it is painfully obvious that there is no player the fans want back less, than the goof. He's not even good TV, he just sucks.

I think people are afraid of ending up in a final with Amanda
(And to a small extent Nany).
Hard not to want to hitch your wagon to Uncle Chris and let him carry you

I think the male to female ratio is key also
Blue is 2:1
Ruby is 2:2 and
Green is 2:3 (and one of the two is Devin)

He cant change that ratio by going to green. He would have to remove Logan or Devin

As far as screentime warriors, Kyle/CT/Emy seems like a group that could easily be the winners

It feels like this show just bends over backwards to get CT to a final at this point. Last season he got thrown into one Elimination (vs. LOLJosh), then made the final based on being a Rogue Agent so he was untouchable. This season, he has not been voted in a single time. Honestly it makes no sense. He should be getting voted in against the weaker players over and over again, this way if there is an upset you get out one of the top competitors. He may get a free ride all the way to the Finals this season. He doesn't even have the off-camera friendship alliances that some of the others have... it's as if everyone is instructed not to vote for him.

Not a fan of conspiracy theories but at the end of the day it is a TV show and ratings are what matter. The cast is weak without Bananas Wes etc. CT is the only real star player left. There may be some maneuvering to keep him around.

I don't hate the theory but I think the bigger issue is none of these people are that good and they know going at CT is gonna not end well for them. Last season they tried to get him out, but those weird hoky rules just wouldn't allow it. And those rules were made long before he was in the situation he was in.

Haven't watched this season but I think they just don't want to piss him off.

The last season Bananas was on and he won, it was the same thing. No one really tried to go at him, even though it seemed logical get him out before the final. And he ended up winning it.

Think it was Kyle last season who openly commented on and questioned why no one went after CT, he knew it was death for the final.

What would Kyle’s motivation have been to purposefully mess up the daily? CT does seem to get away with being just as big of a slimeball

my take is everyone is afraid of him which is why he doesn't get voted in. they used to always team up on him and keep voting him in which seemed unfair. even Bannans and West used to work together to get rid of him

Theyre afraid. They respect him. Theyve been friends with him for years at this point.
He has had a lot of power and he probably didnt screw you over with it.

Most Challenge players take the path of least resistance always.
Quid pro quo is implied universally.

It will be interesting to see the next few seasons after this “veteran alliance” dynamic is no more. Cory is a must for the next season after he was the first one the veterans turned on.

I do think we need an injection of antagonism. At the very least a Wes. Or go John. Or Cara and or Paulie. Laurel kind of fits.

It cant just be these Big Brother and UK people who are best friends forever after doing season after season.

In short, we need things to get DIRTY
