Terrible game mechanism

A lot of stuff probably sounds better in a production meeting than how it unfolds on TV.

Seems like better is gonna go in every time. They're probably the weakest team left now so even if they don't get nominated, they may get picked.

Done a little reading there. I don't mind Reddit in general but the topic breakout for the CHALLENGE generally makes it more frustration than it's worth. Maybe it's because I'm a lolold, but other subs there don't make my head hurt.

Plus I got annoyed a week or two ago when someone on Reddit lamented the pace and was hoping they'd stretch it out like recent seasons and someone actually AGREED with that person. And got some upvotes. Huh? House screeching is actually something they want MORE of? You want to pick up a few minutes - dump the worthless inquisition segment, replace it with screeching. There you go.

BTW thanks to the special lady friend I'm watching Survivor for the first time ever. Thoughts are 1) they debuted a "redemption house" gimmick this season, which I informed her is a terrible idea long-term, and 2) holy crap like 2/3 of every episode is politicking about who is going to get stabbed in the back at the tribal council. I don't see how that's better TV than peak CHALLENGE. Then again apparently this season has been weak by the standards of veteran viewers so maybe it gets better.

I thought he would be below average entertainment-wise but be slightly above average as a competitor. He is pretty jacked and seemed to work out all the time on FL-Bama shore.

I would have bet some quiche on gus/jenna at -1000 or better in that elimination. I thought jenna would destroy davonne and gus would be a decent favorite over bear.

It sucks that elimination got wasted on the 2 smallest guys left in the house. Would have loved to see some combo of turbo/ashley/hunter.

Jeremiah would get more involved socially I think, but I think you are right about him being Charmin soft.

Also,

- Wanted Bear gone a few weeks ago, but definitely appreciate his contributions now. He just crushed this episode. Still want him to lose in painful fashion but his trolling is HOF level and I have yet to see him break character. Kyle can be great at trolling too but when heat gets directed his way he tends to spaz out like all the people he mocks.

- I had a bad crush on a girl around the 4th grade. I pretended not to like her yet would talk about her to anyone who would listen. Embarrassing in hindsight, but I was a kid and that's what we did. Cara Maria is behaving that way about Kyle, as a woman in her 30s. It is painful to watch and not good TV. She's absolutely wrecking her legacy.

- Bear's justification for calling out Gus was a smokescreen for the obvious reason he did it: that he viewed Gus as the weakest person remaining. Clearly wasn't going to challenge Hunter's roid rage, Ashley would snap him in half and wasn't in the line of fire, and I can't remember who else was eligible. Paulie? He'd want no part of that angry midget.

- Kam got like eight seconds of airtime via a single talking head and still managed to annoy me with her SCREAMING.

- Episode needed more TURBO.

I love that most of Ashley’s air time is him literally hulking out. I don’t remember him at all last night except that he screamed and flexed before or after a challenge.

Also, Justina Valentine looks like she was sucking dick for rock no more than five minutes ago.

This has been one of the weakest seasons of Survivor ever, they've done second chance stuff before and it always fails as a concept yet they keep trying it sporadically. The cast is also incredibly weak and tell zero stories with the exception of the returnees, so tough to compare to any other good season of reality TV.

I dont get the simultaneous thought that this is a good season and that people are glad theyre not stretching things out. If something is good, i want more and more of it

It’s good because it’s not stretched out. Football is great, but 4 hours if it’s squeezed with extra bs like reviews and commercials is complete ****. Formula is easy, one team competition, some in house bs but not too much and then an elimination. When they only have a comp or an elimination and just add more god awful house bs or people always rejoining or joining at random ****ing times, it ruins the game.

Yeah, I seriously doubt they're leaving tons of good stuff on the cutting room floor. It's filler. It would really suck if they went back to stretching episodes out and we have to listen to 30 minutes of everyone yelling past each other. It's not at all entertaining and I end up hating everyone.

I think the first time she gets airtime in every episode of every show she starts by saying, “hey, it’s your girl, justina valentine”. I don’t actually know this. It just seems like something she’d do.

She honestly is a complete embarrassment. Even the first episode with Paulie she’s walking around to all random chairs and couches yelling about how she’s going to have sex with him on them. And then her behavior towards Kyle is beyond lol. 4th grade might even be ambitious for her maturity level. It’s pathetic.
