I know West/Bannans have a feud that dates back to before time was invented but going at one another rather than trying to team up to dismantle the UK alliance seems pretty stupid. If you get rid of Bannans, who do you think they're gonna come for next West?

I figured the Challenge vets would band together. Seems bad by Wes.

edit: wtf is Bannans doing? Zach throwing Wes the ball must have really pissed him off.

Thanks mtv. Ran a promo saying a legend will go home this week. Obviously it could only be bananas. This season looks promising but the first 2 eliminations have sucked as a viewer.

Lol at the challenge vets though. The UK kids are obviously going to stick together and the play clearly should've been for the challengers to stick together. These aren't a few rookies from real world st thomas or whatever that you just can crush early on.

Bananas shouldn't have even thrown Hunter in last week. Weird to see Bananas gone so early with no redemption house or anything.

It sucks losing bananas so early but if there was ever a season that could survive an early bananas exit it is this one. I can’t believe Zach didn’t tell bananas he screwed up throwing West the ball - surely he did. Even if he thought Zach has a deal with West I still don’t think it is smart throwing Zach in. You have to go after team GB.

Part of me thinks Bananas looked at the landscape and figured he was screwed so just YOLO it but even then, just bring a UK guy in with you. Did seem like picking Zach was a copout and he was almost giving up on the game.

Yeh he’s got that show starting soon right? Pretty sure he’s filmed a bunch recently. Probably burnt out and didn’t like the looks of his two month ROI. It’s gotta be something tho because that was tilty and sloppy.

Yeah but he can't just suck on the challenges and go home early, then he isn't Johnny Bananas anymore.

I think Wes also kinda got caught up in the Wes vs Bananas brand and all of that rather than looking at the big picture.

You could almost see these UK kids running the game, seems like that would be bad for interest in the show/ratings.

I dunno, whole thing was weird. I thought the show was gonna shape up like Challengers vs UK people and the challengers would have to defend their turf.

Nah, it was the right play imo. Bananas would screw Wes over as soon as he had a chance. Plus, Wes most likely just picked up another alliance member in Zach who was previously an enemy. Hunter, CT, Zach, and Wes is a pretty decent alliance going forward.

Plus if you've pulled in Zach, now you have Jenna, which means you also get Nany and Turbo for numbers.

Pretty good although LOL at the MTV spoiler. Jesus.

The only really dumb part is the whole tribunal thing. Pointless filler. Have the three teams come and...beg for their challenge life? Lame. If there is a grudge which led to the vote there isn't likely to be any groveling.

The subsequent vote at the elimination is dumb. Teammates are going to stick with the vote of their partner pretty much always. I guess the drama lies in avoiding a 2-2-2 tie, at which point apparently something bad happens to those teams. Guess we'll find out.

Also, any reason why they never mention where they are this season? Had to look it up elsewhere, they're evidently in Namibia. But it's never mentioned once that I can recall.

Good point. I've changed my mind -- it was a terrible move by WEST!

What a fun season, even the challenges are good & i normally skip them. Are there even any weak spots this season for the guys? Even the girls look like they're coming to play, this maybe the most game season of competitors ever.

One thing i think that would've made it better, allow the person who wins the relic to decide when to use it. That way you can decide to go against a team you consider to be a weak spot & save it for later in the game if you so wish, would've added an extra dynamic to the game.

So Zach threw WEST the ball to help him and kyle leaves the tribunal by saying vote for bananas... I'm starting to think bananas came in with no real alliance.

What the hell even happened with that Zach blunder? Is he literally so stupid his body just acts at random sometimes?

And how did Zach get 18/20 in the elimination? That seems quite good. His partner must have really known her geography.

I think it was just a brain fart. He’s no rocket surgeon. Like he probably had an instinct to throw it out in front of him and chase it down to break free of the scrum except West just happened to be there. Speaking of which, WHY was West just hanging around there? Or am I misremembering it?

It looked like Wes was cherry picking on both his rounds, either waiting at the line to attempt to tackle someone there, as it's a lot less work to tackle someone there and steal the ball and get over the line than it is to do it from far away, or he was waiting to receive a pass from Hunter, like he did in a later round.

Yeh he yelled something about work smarter, not harder, so just another classic rat **** scheme from West.

I really don’t get why Bananas didn’t believe Zach. The guy looked sick over the whole thing and is too dumb to be on anything but Level 1

If I remember correctly Zach initially put England on Spain until his partner told him to move it up then he moved it to Germany before finally correctly placing it. Jenna and the rest of the crowd were also yelling the color of the countries for him.

Another FANTASTIC episode last night. I love the history and hate Wes and Bananas still have (though it felt like they set it aside on a previous Champs vs Stars season), and I'm glad it played out early this season so we can get some fresh new characters and storylines.

Also wanted to second the Tribunal/interrogation as being a waste of time, but it appears they returned to the old show format at least (Challenge -> House Drama -> Tribunal -> House Drama -> Elimination -> end episode).

Not sure why you guys are assuming Team UK was the powerhouse alliance going into last night.

Team UK
- Da'Vonne/Bear
- Hunter/Georgia
- Kam/Ashley
- Wes/Dee (by extension)

Team Bannans
- Bananas/Morgan
- Jenna/Gus
- Kyle/Mattie
- Leeroy/Shaleen
- Nany/Turbo
- Zach/Zahida (Zahida is UK but doubt Zach is following her)

Somewhere in the Middle
- Amanda/Josh (Amanda is anti-Bananas but Josh is not in-line with her)
- Cara Maria/Theo (Theo is UK but doubt CM is following him)
- CT/Julia
- Natalie/JP (lean anti-Bananas but not team UK)
- Paulie/Ninja (lean anti-Bananas but not team UK)

I doubt Johnny actually thought he was at a disadvantageous position in the game. He just blew his **** because a) his nemesis Wes one-upped him and b) he always blows his **** when he gets thrown into an elimination. He compounded his problems by calling out Zach instead of picking a logical opponent to take into elimination, because even if he won, it would've blown up his alliance in half (Nany/Turbo and Jenna/Gus would have been out).

On top of the game implications of throwing Zach in, Zach literally threw himself in to protect Tony/Bananas just last season!

I read somewhere else that they brought back a producer who had been with them for a long time but left around 2015, right about when they started to bloat the episodes with stupid house drama filler. Maybe that is a factor.

Regardless of the reason the return to the old format - and getting rid of the redemption house, which was a stupid mechanism, particularly after the first time - is almost too good to be true.

If you are bananas and have to vote in teams based on who you think recognizes the fewest flags/countries and you don't want to vote in your own team my order is:

Kam/Ashley
Hunter/Georgia
Da'Vonne/Bear
Amanda/Josh

I'm sure 1 of these 8 had a PhD or is somehow confirmed smart, but all 8 come off pretty dumb.
