has to be an individual challenge that the champs got a couple bye rounds for

If that is the case it will be bad but I doubt it. The champs would just be so much better, the guys is 1 thing but the gap in the girls is probably just as big.

Not sure what it'll be but after Bananas won 275k last year, I doubt they just have like 6 people split 300k.

And Darrell did say he cameback because he was "sick of seeing Johnny win all the time" so I think the champs will have to compete against one another at some point.

Also, they haven't done a big team challenge in like 6 years.

Champs obviously have substantial advantages in many different ways:

1. They're obviously all elite physical competitors so are unlikely to be heavily outmatched by any of the challengers (none of the guys will be physically overwhelmed ever except maybe Zach in endurance and only Jenna and Kailah are likely to be on the level of the champion girls).

2. They are unlikely to strategically break ranks too early or suffer a defection for a strategic reason.

3. They aren't having to compete with one another early on which would cause rifts within their alliance so they are going to start off in the house on a much more stable footing.

4. They are sleeping in comfort and eating their normal diets while not having to compete and thus don't have to deal with the added fatigue that the challengers will have.

Wow I haven't seen that many posts over a 24 period ITT ever. The champs made the CHALLENGE great again.

I want to get this out of the way real quick: I was one of the most vocal ITT about how great for the CHALLENGE bruno was going to be. I've been pitching him ever since his season of RW. He was/is a total CHALLENGE disaster.

He want from fighting his brother for a tuna sandwich to fighting anyone for a bologna sandwich. I guess homelessness will do that to a man.

In my defense I also pumped TONY up pretty hard during/after his season of RW so every now and then I get one right.

Interesting RW note that I just saw on wikipedia: this season a young man named peter was the bad blood of a RW roomie. He won $500k in a MTV game show I have never heard of called Million Dollar Maze Runner. I don't know what that show was about but it sounds like it traits that would help you win that show could transfer over to the CHALLENGE.

Just watched it. While some of the challengers look like they have a future, I hope they don't wait 4-5 eps to bring in the champions. A couple thoughts:

- Where is Devyn?

- Kailah has the potential to be a poor woman's version of Ev with a little more crazy. Definitely a good thing.

- Nelson is good for the show, but was a bit too much by the end.

- Hopefully Dario makes it to the house, gets humiliated by CT/Zach, and then makes a quick exit.

- A handful of the girls have no future in this show.

Obviously they don't have the smartest people on this show, but how could the challengers possibly think that there wouldn't be any champions/seasoned vets on the show. Otherwise people would stop watching 30 minutes into the season.

I pray we can get two of CT/Zach/Darrel in the elimination challenge we just saw. Potential for massive CHOOOOO CHOOOOO.

Add: CalledDownLight is right about the advantage the champions have.

It's tough to say, these people are pretty dumb, but I do think that some of them have an idea that this isn't the entire cast. Atleast in the back of their minds they must know there will be others at the house.

edit: They are all self-absorbed I'm sure but they gotta know MTV isn't doing a show with like Corey as the most recognizable guy.

i think nelson is good for the show but one specifically that has veterans on it. right now it's pretty dumb and / or boring and no one will tell him he's an idiot and actually do something about it. when the vets come they will call him a dolt and turn the entire house against him pretty quickly. at that point it will be entertaining.

last season we wanted someone with a few brain cells to realize that they had to take down bananas when they had power in numbers. nelson is doing it for the wrong reasons but he's at least doing it to tony. or trying. he's just a total blowhard about it re: integrity etc etc

dario is awful. like tut said earlier when he uttered the words real estate and living on the couch nothing has ever added up more perfectly

I actually think he's great because of the hate he creates on himself. It's his redeeming quality and he keeps raising the bar. Scratch that lowering.

Lmao I thought exactly this when I heard him bring up real estate.

This season is shaping up to return us to rivals 2 level greatness. Only thing that could ruin it is if they let one of the vet males get knocked out via puzzle elim.

pip is older, can't lift as much, has less hair, and needs the money more but other than that I think the comparison is pretty good.

I've been caping for Kailah since her terrible RW season... but there is some serious overrating going on in this thread. She won a challenge vs a chick who was drawing dead, let's give her a few episodes. I realize the women are always weak, but you can't anoint her a beast after one episode.

Oh and Dario is most definitely one of my least favorite people ever on the show

Dario doesn't bother me

Dario saying he sells real estate while sleeping on a friends couch reminds me of people selling gold. The guy doesn't own any real estate, but is trying to convince people it is a good investment. People that sell gold try to convince people it is a good investment by convincing them it is better than cash while taking their cash and giving them their gold.
