From an endurance perspective yes. Holding two ski poles and several logs might have been difficult for him.

Jenny can lose how she lost last year, eliminations can be quite random with a puzzle or something non physical and she can lose to someone like Tori again. But physically there are few that can match her in a final. Maybe a few of the girl all timers but not the girls this season...maybe Tori.

Nah, Tori was her "welcome to the league" moment. She bout to dynasty.

The game strategy from the other women was awful. Dee giving Jenny the layup elimination win early and then no one targeting her the rest of the way.

It was pretty lame to make Kyle & Fessy stay outside for 6 hours, then giving them a 1 minute penalty for ... not getting voted into an elimination?!?

at worst that gives Jordan a 2 minute disadvantage. More than enough to make up for in the last leg which was endurance, which kyle showed when he did it over cory.

Very impressed by Kyle.
Very happy JOHN got the win over these knuckleheads
Somewhat impressed that Faysal finished the math "equation" first. But gassing out after that is humiliating. I thought you were NFL bro. you got beat by an old man
Jenny needs to tip the person that got her cast on this series, because it will be paying her bills for a long time.
lol anyone who thought Kaycee had a prayer against that animal

The missing leg of the ashley/hunter final seems reasonable because I remember thinking hunter carried her for a good part of that final and I didn't see how MTV gave her the win.

Super surprised and impressed by Kyle's final performance. I was equally surprised by bayleigh's performance for the opposite reason. I guess once she heard they are only paying the top woman there wasn't much reason for her or melissa to compete unless they had nothing else going that day.

By the way, having a men & women's payouts is so much better than just paying them together since they don't have to create equalizers during the final.

I think lying that you are making insane amounts of money is step #1 to becoming a youtube/instagram star. All the kids do it. I'm sure when he heard her say that he was pissed/embarrassed.

I feel like I remember in his explanation of the Dee thing on twitter that once they got back to USA after filming he and Wes had met up in KC and figured something out for his company or whatever that immediately started netting him 6 figs/month. West made him rich, basically, and only would have done that after filming.

Just read that the final was editted down pretty heavily. THere was a blizzard, which was why they sent Kyle and Fessy inside, and they pretty much sat there for an entire day since production couldn't see 20 feet in front of them until after the snow let up.

Day 1 had a checkpoint that wasn't shown where they had to hit a skull with a slingshot. Cory won, Fessy 2nd; Jenny won for girls, Kaycee 2nd. The rewards for that checkpoint were time penalties given out to the remaining players-- both guys gave it to Rogan (which is how he knew he'd get thrown in to elimination vs. Bannans) for some reason, whereas it doesn't say who got it for the girls but Jenny apparently won the day by 25 minutes and they were all so spread out at the end of day 1 that it didn't matter.

Day 2 had a checkpoint where they were throwing daggers at a skull. Jenny won this, which is how she got in front of Bannans on the home stretch.

Re: the blizzard-- seems like the original plan was to have a 2 episode final but they had to shorten the day 2 and wouldn't have had enough footage for two episodes so they trimmed it to one, which is balls because of how the pre-finale episodes ended with the Dee ****.

Bananas on Simmons pod today

He said he thinks Wes just didn't like the idea of Bananas having a red skull and Wes not having one yet, but also that maybe it got in Wes head that fans would want him to go vs Bananas. I think Bananas is wrong there and Wes knew what he was doing and made the correct EV move.

^seriously this. Laurel and maybe ninja are the only females that can possibly compete with Jenny and they are targets because of their personalities. Jenny should be able to dynasty this for a while.

agreed. Wes knows how to keep himself relevant and finally having an elimination between him and bananas is exactly what we've all wanted for what, over a decade?

Listening to the podcast now...

Simmons: "I don't know if you know this but Cory has some kids back home...did he mention that?'

Bananas: "It's the first I've heard of that...I had no idea...is that what Cory was playing for??'

Too funny.

Just read through all the posts from this season; glad to see it was still a fairly high volume and also high quality. I had intended to quote 3-4 of the posts but they didn't stick when I came back to reply a couple days later.

Summnormal is still my thread MVP, but he has company.

Exothermic is still consistently wrong (especially when it comes to women) but seems like a nice guy.

Since I lost my post quotes, random thoughts:

- Used to really not be able to stand either Aneesa or Bannans, but softened on both. Aneesa had some great lines this year; my primary irritation with her is that she thinks she's a much better competitor than she is, and has a wholly undeserved sense of entitlement. Yeah, she may win an elimination here or there - although it is apparently true that Jenna threw their elimination, so it shouldn't even count - but there's no way in hell she makes it through a final which requires endurance. Production insists on referring to her in reverential tones as well.

- Bannans is also very quoteworthy and most of the things he did that I found repulsive, like being a sore loser or acting totally ridiculous towards women, are far enough in his past that I'm over it. Didn't mind him winning.

- Jenny is just so much stronger, fitter, everything than all the other women that it's going to break future seasons unless someone steps up or they bring in someone at her level. It's like peak Serena Williams vs. the field, except without the repulsive personality. She seems reasonable, likeable, doesn't get drunk and do stupid things to piss people off, just no weaknesses in the competition or in the house. Those lips though...

- Been said, but MTV pandering to the woke crowd over the Dee dustup was much more irritating than what Dee herself did. Fine, don't invite her back for future seasons, but don't wreck multiple episodes over something which was inoffensive to all but the most easily triggered among us. All that did was lead to the mob pointing out the double standard about them not taking similar action with others among the cast. When will they learn no matter what they do it's never enough for the mob?

- Not that I'll miss Dee. You learn a lot about a person's character when they think they can get away with acting badly. In Dee's case it was when she went in on Turbo after Ninja's ridiculous freakout a couple of seasons back. It's also why I find Kailah repulsive...when a bunch of Heathers led by her chucked all of some woman's clothes off the balcony in a moment of pure bullying, that's something you can't unsee, and something which isn't a feat of editing. It's just ugly.

- Really thought Fessy was gonna boatrace the season, but I failed to account for big dudes at elevation in an endurance challenge. Finals are a different skillset.

Probably have more rambles but that's more than enough for now.

They need to come up with challenges that are fun to watch and easy to follow. I fast forwarded through most of the challenges this year, I found they really boring to watch. I prefer when their are balls involved and you can keep track of who is winning and losing, you know, like we do in sports.

I actually enjoyed it mostly, but lol at a reunion show part 2. Three hours of this nonsense?

I thought Jenny looked good, much better than she usually does. Wasn't sure it was her at first. I don't really understand why Kaycee is everyone's dream girl but I'm not a lesbian so what do I know.

My wife thought Jenny looked normal cause her lip injections ran out. But maybe she went the other way and splurged on plastic surgery. Hard to say.
