Just a name to pad Joshua's resume.

Prolly will be another half dozen fights before he fights someone with a pulse, and a dozen before he fights a legitimate heavyweight.

I hope to eat those words as soon as possible, bc like you guys, I feel Joshua has the potential to be a top heavyweight.

Pretty much this. Josh seems like he'll be a great fighter but he's only had 6 fights. He's not going to be main eventing any time soon.

If you do get the chance, don't blink. You'll miss it.

The Skelton match up is probably a perfect selection for a guy with only 6 fights

I would much prefer to see him in with someone a little more durable that might make him work a little more for a KO.

Skelton's punch resistance has gone a while back so we will not see Joshua face anything he has not encountered already.

Eddie will take him along slowly, build up the fan base by allowing them to see KO's. Will gradually step him up in class and before you know it you are paying £15 to watch him fight on box office.

Kovalev fighting Designated Opponent in August, this story totally buries the lead, BRANDON RIOS DIEGO CHAVES

I'd like to see Joshua in with James Toney.

So sad to see Kovalev get so screwed.

What's lost is that Kovalev is now likely getting overpaid for fighting punching bags. He signed a deal when HBO thought they had Stevenson - Kovalev in the bag (and for whatever reason did not push hard enough to get it set in stone) and it sounds like Kovalev got paid based on that.

The fans are the ones that get screwed though.

Rios - Chavez should be awesome, that's the type of fight we need to see made more often.

Also where the hell is James Kirkland? Huge win, dramatic story, great ratings, then he turns down a Willie Nelson fight and just disappears...

If anyone wants to hop into a group boxing chat for Andrade - Rose and Algieri - Provodnikov, shoot me a PM.

Had two other guys in there last week for Cotto-Martinez, was fun.

Will still be posting in this thread, just don't want to post 4x per round, so this is just an extra thing (not taking away from this thread).

I put a little on Algieri at +520 and then bought a bit more of the under 9.5 rounds for -130.

My play is that if Provo can reach him, Algieri doesn't last that deep. And if Provo can't reach him, it means Algieri is boxing effectively and in a good spot to win.

Edit: Sigh, I thought Cotto Martinez played THEN at 10 EST we get the two live fights. Stupid replay.

Nice exhibition so far from Andrade. Not very competitive.

Ready for Siberian Man-Eating Fire-Breathing Mama-Loving Rocky.

Well. That was... not exactly why I'm a fight sports fan, though I like blood and guts as much as the next guy..
