as Michael Schiavello would say, the doctor asked Groves where he was and Groves replied 'Wednesday'.

What a brutal shot.

Word, I immediately thought the same thing. I've been a big Ward defender, but he needs to get his ass across the pond and rematch Froch in front of a similar audience. And, I still think Ward beats him, if he's the same fighter he used to be.

Gutted.

Pretty even but Groves was on the ascendency. I wish the ref at least gave him a count ffs this is boxing.

The sooner Jim Watt dies/retires the better.

You were delusional if you thought Groves was going to win.

There was no point giving him the count and I think even Groves will admit that.

Credit where credit is due. Hope you had that Froch by KO backed up with a ticket!

Groves looks crushed. I honestly would not be upset to see them fight again. I also would like to see the two of them become friends, or friendly/respectful at least. Would make for a good story.

Zero issues with the stoppage.

Unimas and HBO2 cards later tonight. Avalos-Ishimoto, Fortuna-Rodriguez, Del Valle-Rosa. If ya's aint busy..

There's no way they will fight again. Froch has nothing to gain and everything to lose from that.

Just give him the count ffs. Look through boxing the past 30 years and refs were far more lenient. I'm not looking for another Watson or Mccllelan tragedy, but just give the ****ing count.

There was 28 seconds left he could have survived the round and then try and win the fight.

Froch vs DeGale next...

Froch got £8 million from this. He won't get that anywhere else.

As soon as the ref waved it off Groves was ready and would have fought on.

As the man himself has said, he wants to fight in Vegas. Another Froch Groves fight probably wouldn't make the same amount and he has nothing to gain from it in terms of his reputation or ego.
