You also think Mehico will qualify for the World Cup. Better start preparing for Qatar

Canelo is definitely elite. He's a favorite vs. every 154lb fighter in the world other than Mayweather.

Smaller-venue cards ftw.

Weak troll attempt Cruizn.

Canelo is exciting and fun to watch, but he hasn't fought anybody of note aside from Austin Trout and I thought Trout deserved the win.

Cliffs on why everyone is excited about this Mayweather vs Canelo fight, and the US are going to spend all of their money on PPVing it?

Austin Trout had proven himself to be quite good though.

And you are in the clear minority thinking Trout won that fight.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL if you think Austin Trout really won that fight. CANELO clearly won that fight. If Trout really won that fight, he would have acted like it afterwards and said he won the fight, but he didn't. he knew CANELO won fair and square and there was nothing left to do but to take the loss like a man.

i don't troll when it comes to CANELO. i take my CANELO very serious.

Mayweather knocked out Hatton so why wud he not be able to knock out khan?
IDK Mayweather has no power. His last KO was of victor ortiz on a dirty shot. Danny Garcia hit Khan with a lucky blow when Khan was dominating the fight. If Khan just improves defense a little, he can beat anyone. Also the guy will be moving up in weight which will help his chin. Making 147 at 5'9 is probably extremely difficult.

Khan also hasn't been very good since Maidana got those blows in on him.

The fight was at 143 lbs. Give Amir Khan a fight at 147 or above and we will see how weak his chin really is? Making 143 at 5'9 would probably kill most people at 5'9 to make weight. I just think Khan's hand speed would be far superior to anyone Mayweather has fought.

On another note, I've read articles saying Mayweather wants to fight Khan in England (potentially). I believe if Khan can beat Alexander, he deserves a shot possibly. I mean that fight will tell us if he deserves a shot at Mayweather. The only reason I can see Mayweather fighting Khan now due to money (prolly would gross a lot if in England) and an easy fight in Mayweather's eyes.

It's really encouraging to see this type of excitement for boxing. Maybe it has a chance to recover a lot of the casual fans it seems to have lost. Just watched the Corales-Castillo fight from a few years back. Great fight and awesome 10th round.

Floyd fought Zab in 2006. It was a pretty bad year for him, first he fought Judah who was coming off a loss to Carlos Baldomir then he fought Baldomir in the worst fight in the history of the universe. He followed that up with a fantastic year where he beat De La Hoya and Hatton and turned himself into a megastar. I'm still surprised they never did a rematch with DLH.

Except Mayweather is at the tail end of his career. Who's coming up behind him to keep the momentum going?
