Yes and no. The premise is to draw people in so you can counter-punch. The problem though is that you have to be faster than the guy you're in the ring with. I think Kessler had a speed advantage over Froch so Froch got caught with a couple of big shots throughout the fight.
In the history of the sport there's only one person who had that style down to almost perfection (Prince Naseem Hamed) and a couple of others that were/are very good at it (Roy Jones, Jr. and possibly Sergio Martinez).
