Ref wasn't great either. Why are you even beginning to count him out? Should've been an immediate stoppage on that last knockdown. Also had spots to stop it before that.

Yea totally awful corner and referee. Even the doctor could've easily stopped it.

That corner was bitching about the showboating at the end, they need to look in the mirror and worry about their own performance.

Yeah I was shouting to stop the fight like 20 seconds into the last round.

Though TBH he shouldn't have been let out. His nose was a mess, he was bleeding profusely, just got knocked down and didn't win a round before then.

As for the taunting, Magdaleno was doing it all fight. Even shoulder bumped him between a couple of rounds. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

Lopez is gonna move up soon so why not Loma later this year. Eff it. Loma won’t be able to go up to 140 so let the kid have his shot IMO. I think they said plan is Lopez is on to 140 next year

Kovalev should win, but do we really think he's fixed his stamina issues? How likely is it that he's more/same confident vs less confident in the ring?

I think if he just boxes with his natural power he can win if he trained appropriately, but I wouldn't bet on that.

Feels very 50-50 to me though.

Kov won round 5 for me too but there is a ton of tension it does seem like Alvarez is only one punch away at any moment and Kovalevs gas tank is suspect obv. Verrrry interesting fight

McGurk is giving good advice, simple, "more shots to the body, everything else is good."

These shots need to be taking a toll on Alvarez, he looks to be playing possum, but if Kovalev doesn't wear own soon Alvarez may not be in a great spot to take advantage later.
