Was pretty amazed to see such a poor performance by Eubank. It was worse than what the cards showed imo. He has all the physical tools but mentally he isn't all there. Think he needs to tell his dad to **** off and become his own man.
Figured Garcia would have an easier time boxing Rios and would finish him off late, haven't seen many of Garcia's patented left hooks. That and his chin are pretty elite.
Damn that was a nice right. He was starting to wear Rios down. Rios time and again just looks outclassed vs the elite at WW. This was a different type of fighter that dominated him too, not just an elite boxer that danced around him between combinations for easy decisions.
Rios doesn't have the power and chin to succeed at WW. He should really move back down to 140. That said, Garcia wasn't particularly impressive either. Excellent chin and all but for a guy nicknamed Swift, he doesn't seem that way. Figure he'd dance circles around Rios towards a decision or late KO but looked sloppier than I had expected.
Well it turns out Eubank has not really improved at all and even repeated the same flawed tactics he used against BJS.
Just not really that good im afraid.
He still gives almost all middleweights hell imo and I fancy he wins a world title at that weight at some stage. Ideally needs a year working with a decent trainer. Sending himself off to America may be his best route now.
He's all heart and fitness and not much technique at all.
Anyone with half decent boxing skills can deal with Eubank right now.
For whatever reason ( probably Snr ) he has just never really improved his technique and therefore gets found out against a decent fighter who can box and counter on the back foot.
Its amazing to think he is only one year younger than Groves.
