Agreed. Rodriguez looked pretty bad in his title fight against Trout. I think he will have a decent size advantage, but he may not know what to do with it.

Cotto wins an easy decision.

Cotto switches trainer.

Now being trained by.......Freddie Roach.....

Interesting to say the least:

hasn't cotto done that quite a few times? at least thats what i remember from the 24/7 didnt read article fwiw

that is interesting though.

edit- just read article, found "If the deal with Rodriguez is not finalized, other names mentioned as potential Cotto opponents include Michael Oliveira, Damian Jonak and David Zegarra. One name rumored as a possible opponent, top contender Carlos Molina, was never in the running, Penagaricano said." this interesting. never heard of them tbh

Seems that every time I hear Roach speak, I understand less and less of what he's saying.

It's sad to say but we're going to have to get used to it.

haye vs fury 28th sept. gg fury's career

fury really is terrible, i feel embarrassed for him every time i see him talk about how he's a contender and how people like the klitschkos are ducking him or w/e, i hope he takes a vicious beating

and ofc the only downside of fury winning is david haye looking like an even bigger fraud so it's all gravy tbh

meh, I think that Fury is OK. Not great, but there aren't that many guys who are >70% against him imo. Should be Haye to win of course, and will probably look easy, but I wouldn't totally discount Fury. He seems to recover from getting knocked down and has heart so he could actually take a real pounding.

in the current climate he is an OK boxer for his division but i can't stand the way he promotes himself, you can see him reading the script from his mental auto-cue, occasionally stumbling and not really understanding what he's saying

too much talking and not enough getting punched in the face imo and that applies to david haye as well

I actually don't mind Fury as much as I should. You have to give some leeway for the way he's been brought up, and let's be honest he's not the sharpest tool in the box. I've always given him some credit for moving up into domestic class at such a young age when others may have been guided more slowly.

Supposedly hbo is trying to get Alvarez v provodkidnov or whatever his name is

Would be a ridiculous action fight if it happens but I cant see how it would be smart for Alvarez to take that after last two fights

I didn't like Fury at first, but I love his persona. I love his bravado and his trash-talk. (He's prolly top 3 in this category.) He's an excellent entertainer. Plus dude actually sings alright lol.

I don't think he's nearly as talented as he promotes himself, but that's okay. I like this fight with Haye, even though I put Haye as a heavy favorite. I think price has more skills than Fury, but Fury has more confidence. I just hope Haye shows up to fight.

Haye KO in 3-4 rounds imho.

You were closer to Provodnikov than you were to Alvarado.

LOL, I was thinking it had to be some other Alvarez (not Canelo).

Alvarado makes way more sense, but would the fight be at 140 or 147? Have to look it up.

That would be a good fight. Alvarado is a pretty good fighter, and Provodnikov did not look bad at all in the Bradley fight.

Supposedly Alvarado has "earned" the right to fight at home, which would mean a 15 minute trip for me to see a top class fight.

Crossing my fingers on that one.

Provodnikov stops alvarado. He hits harder than rios. Alvarado better put those "boxing skills" to work against Provodnikov. Dude hits like sledge hammer.

Would love to see these warriors fight. Would love to see the winner of this fight, fight the loser of marquez/bradley.

What are the most entertaining / best matches of all time? I've been in a random mood to check out boxing matches - I haven't seen very many so list anything. For example, I just watched Gatti vs Ward I on youtube and headexplode that was ridic entertaining/great. Not necessarily slugging matches, although those are likely to be my favorite, but like gimme 5-10 awesome fights I can check out on youtube. I'm more interested in the FIGHT than the fighters or historic importance or w/e.

alvarado-rios 1 or 2

hagler-hearns

corrales-castillo

salido-juan manuel lopez

berto-ortiz

khan-ortiz/khan-maidana/khan-garcia

maidana-lopez/maidana-jesus soto karass

bradley-provodkinov

cotto-margarito 1

froch-kessler 1 and 2

martinez-williams 1 (altho 2nd is a ridic ko early on)

just off the top of my head all from last few years except for castillo-corrales and hagler-hearns which are classics..also pacquiao/marquez 1 or 3 prob i guess, i thought 2 was kind of boring. I would recommend watching the 2 classics first and then from last few years prob the rios-alvarado fights and then i personally really like the maidana fights

i mostly like 140 and 147 obv. I think those are by far the most entertaining divisions

actually another ward fight that is crazy the whole time is ward-augustus if u are into that
