Just checked back, 5 only got you in on leg difference and there were more cards available last year. That said, there's 63 less points available this year because Jenkins didn't turn up to the first two days. 6-1 kicking in first round just now won't help her chances

I'm all for making the game more appealing to "new" or non-traditional markets, but I'm not a fan of having GC in the PL. Other non-Brits more deserving.

For someone we suspect is the clear #2 to Phil Taylor, MvG is racking up the losses. 2 wins in the last 9 years doesn't exactly stand out compared to his peers. No doubt the game is much tougher these days than when the Power was cashing in, and MvG will probably win more titles, but maybe he won't.

also got pascal rupprecht (young german that nobody knew anything about but has been playing out of his skin), maik kuivenhoven (dutch player who only just dropped his card at the end of the year) and owen roelofs (fairly young dutch player who's yet to do a great deal at a senior level) also looking very good on points on the eu side, nobody looking really safe on the uk side yet, but it's already up to a minimum of 3 points plus huge goal difference, so probably needing 6, maybe 7 total. pdc media darling currently 18th (9 make it)

There's only about 4-5 officials that typically do stage games anyway, at least a couple of them would have already been in Kiel for the Euro Tour starting the next day, might have been the case that one official couldn't actually call (dodgy throat or something) but could be the official noting stuff behind the scenes so someone had to solo the mic
