You're not even a good Troll. You could have at least made a decent effort and put Fed behind Sampras.

Given the post he was responding to, I think the bigger troll would've been presupposing the existence of two Feds.

Agassi stumbled through that tournament and played a bunch of scrubs. Facing James Blake as a WC in the quarters and a non-seeded player in the semis was easier than Murray's draw for Wimbledon. He also played a bunch of scrubs in his 2003 win and was lucky to fade Roddick in the finals who probably lost his semi match because of an extremely long QF match he played.

Fed has to go through Rafa, Novak, or Murray and often a combination of two just to win something. It's not even valid to use these facts considering how much better the competition is today and how Agassi got so far because of two easy draws.

But this is just obvious trolling. The write up is for others to see why Agassi had some success at that age.

Interesting that by the age of 27/28 both fed and nadal had/have 13 GS

Fed won 2 at 28/29

I think I can now say that healthy Rafa is the GOAT.

Federer will probably be the more important player in history as he had the more dominant peak and ushered in the latest era in tennis quality. But with all respect to Fed, Rafa is just a more complete and better all around player.

1. Rafa
2. Fed
3. Djoker

though federer's sick run of never being injured or out of form is a lot more plausible with peds than without, the swiss maestro no doubt never roided. such a humble gentleman

I think I'll move Fed ahead of Sampras after today's gutsy performance. Losing to prime Novak in this fashion could very well be the crown achievement of his career. Certainly moreso then beating James Blake and 17 year old Nadal.

This is part of a model I use for the purposes of gambling. Its an adaptation of the TrueSkill algorithm, and its plotting the court independent piece of the players game win rating. The dataset includes up until Fed's semi final win and Djo's quarterfinal win.

Id caution that

1) everything is designed to compare players at a given point in time; there is a significant ratings bloat over time, making peak comparisons unreasonable

2) I only have data going back to 06, and anything in 06 and maybe even 07 is going to be noisy
