If it takes place NCAA Tourney style, you have to pick a game/games that happen at a location (e.g. in the NCAA example, the Final Four).

it's not really. sometimes it's hosted in one city (like next year in Ufa, Russia, in Ottawa in 2009, etc), other times it's jointly held by two cities close together (like Calgary/Edmonton last year, or Buffalo/Lewiston the year before, or Saskatoon/Regina before that). it's basically an annual event in a localized area due building availability and maybe revenue.

it's not like they're playing games in Atlanta, Phoenix, Boston, & St. Louis in the same year or anything. maybe not right in line with the rules, but basically should be allowed imo.

Reds is a good pick. I was flipping a coin between the Reds and Chiefs, and decided to go KC because I wanted a football team, plus lol Marge Schott. But they're prob the best MLB team otb.

Iditarod probably makes that city the most unique...

There are a couple of events that draw pretty good numbers that I'm really surprised haven't gone yet.

How can you have the Iditarod unless you have your city in the middle of nowhere.

I think the point is to just pretend that every make-believe city can easily support its teams/host its events.

If the IIHF U20 WCH is eligible, then I'm taking...

...IIHF senior WCH. Very popular in Europe, its the biggest annual international hockey event. It's not as popular in USA/Canada because it collides with Stanley Cup, however their teams are usually still filled with NHL players, showing it still has some prestige among the players

I select Prague, Czech Republic as venue. Last time we hosted was in 2004, to date it is still the IIHF WCH with highest overall attendance, the Prague portion of matches were played in one of the best hockey arenas in the world, the O2 Arena
