They are pretty big dogs but I know there are better college options than this. If you are doing this just for football, there are many more prestigious programs that also make a ton of money.
There are no more prestigious programs and Texas makes the most money, which only matters slightly

They are good at every sport and with the Aggies leaving and starting their own network things will just keep getting easier

Plus I get year round top level sports not just a single one

red sox have had their championship equity cut by 50% with the new play in game

should have gone much lower

Agreed. Super Bowl sucks a lot of the time. People just watch it to watch it. I'd rather watch the other sports' playoffs.

ALSO: Catching up/Grunching, but football's gonna be pussified in about 15-20 years based on all the concussions. I'm short NFL. At the very least, this is something the skill sports don't have to worry about at all.

They are good but not >>>> every other program in every college sport. They are good at the big 2 and big 3 (if you include baseball). Their big $ maker is football but they aren't even really a top 5 program in that with respect to legacy and history although they are with respect to $$$.

It seriously has not sucked a lot of the time. Maybe when the NFC was dominating for years, but in all honesty, it hasn't really sucked since the Buccs/Raiders SB although STeelers-Hawks wasn't great due to the Refs.Since 1997, we've had 3 bad SBs in the Steelers-Hawks, Ravens-Giants, Broncos-Falcons (really not awful). We are honestly in the golden age of Super Bowls. If you hate the last 14 years of SB, you honestly just hate football.

they have the second most wins and 6th best win pct all time, plus unlike a couple schools above them are still relevant

i suppose if you only care about the last two years you have a case

You really think Texas is top 5 college football legacy?

I'd say they are probably 6th or 7th.

They have the 4th most wins, but that's being nitty. 807 vs (811/828 and 869).

i think going forward they are easily top 2, which is what really matters

basketball probably around 10, doubt they squeeze into the top tier but if anyone could it's them

also lol basketball compared to football, there is a reason uconn may get left in the dust

Will see, SEC is still the leader in college football and it isn't going to end any time soon. Mack hasn't been killing it lately either recruiting or coaching. Big 12 has been deflated a ton lately.

Wimbledon and the Masters are really solid picks. I like the Kentucky Derby pick as it's something different but wouldn't be my #1 in that sport.

You two need to do research on "loads" more means. You also think the SB has mostly sucked which isn't the case unless you abhor football.

I'd love to see the metric of having Texas top ten. I'm pretty sure they've never been to a NCAA champ game

right, picking an event super high is debatable, but if you are going to do it, picking the SB over CL Final isn't really defensible

Texas top 10 basketball is also LOL bad.

3 final fours which is good enough for 27th all time and 0 NC game appearances.

Texas is lucky to be top 20 all time in basketball. They are 18th in wins.

None of the basketball schools should be picked any time soon though IMO since they really aren't great in football and that playst too much of a role in school wealth. I guess some of the basketball schools do have other great programs.

I wasn't sure how to rate Wimbledon due to VORE in the same sport but it's so damn prestigious that I think picking it here is fine.

I'm not sure how/if people are concidering this but Derby probably draws the most wealthy/upperclassish crowd so there's possibly some value in that depending how you want to shape your city.

Here's my defense...
- CL viewer numbers are inflated
- CL is on during better times
- SB is a bigger city event with more builtup etc

but more importantly...
