A ****ing German picks the LDO, #1 overall pick especially since most of us are Americans.......good job.

LOL @ the Super Bowl not going #1 overall and then us all just giving up. So far ahead of any other possible pick that it would be a miracle if Clown can see anyone in his rear view mirror.

Edit: Should obv be disallowed since it's not in anyway similar to any other event that'll be taken, but whatever, what's done is done.

Well their team absolutely owned in the late 90's onward, not to mention numerous ships from like the 60's onward.

Packers fans are proud of their early days, but it doesn't affect how the franchise operates today. Their Super Bowl wins and recent success mean much more.
yeah, agree. Nearish term success is more important.

The Super Bowl...duh
This is clear #1. I thought and still think the yankees were the #1 Franchise but we could not take them. I thought the yankees were the #1 pick easily until I realized we could of drafted this.

I think titles from eras that were much less competitive, pretty much not as relevant nationally, and other various issues should make titles over the last 10 years > last 20 years > last 30 years, etc. Great the ****ing XYZ team has 10 titles from the 40s/30s....but no titles since, who cares.

It doesn't matter to a huge degree, but the 27 championships number is a much larger part of their history than the Packers' championships in the 1930s IMO.

When you're looking back that far, how many Packers can the average sports fan name? Now, what percentage of the average sports fan know who Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio are?

The Yankees are the #1 in this because of those championships, their universal appeal, their insane franchise value compared to the rest of baseball teams, their television network, their recent success in getting to the playoffs, etc.

tbh i think this draft is pretty stupid with the events, i will probably just keep my spot an try to pay attention but i don't really get "events" an we get two of them, there is some comparison between the super bowl an a few other events, but there is no comparison btween the super bowl and the 12 event, for instance.

Yeah I'll take the Coliseum (assuming DAL stadium is off the table). Dunno if that takes other stuff being played there off the table but would be hillarious if that was the case.

Super Bowl WOAT pick. I mean think about it. It's always overhyped, and lives up to expectations, what, once every 20 years?

The only reason people attend is because it's novel and rotates cities. If it's in the same city every year, and that city's NFL team does not make the Super Bowl, after ~10 years of holding it there, the cities' tenants will get bored of attending the overhyped, usually boring game for 2 random teams.

I'd bet after 10-20 years in the same city, the Super Bowl wouldn't even sell out.

oh great the guy who trades away the pick that is used to take the #1 overall while moving down 10 spots in the process now doesn't want to participate anymore

trade should be voided

This is annoying.

Super Bowl was #1 on my board and I was about to get it until aejones traded with clowntable (because I doubt jones would have taken the Super Bowl). My #2 was Yankees but I figured that wouldn't slip to 6th pick either. So frustrating.

Okay I know what I'm taking so I'm doing the writeup now... *sigh*

You can't assume this though. If you could, you could make other silly assumptions like any city with a major Soccer team couldn't have a football team since no city in the world would have both types of fans.

Clown's city gets a $400 million check written to it every February. Good lord.

I think the superbowl or any event for that matter should have to be played in an arena you draft from one of your other picks. So whatever event I chose would have to be played in the lakers venue staples center or wherever my other teams play.

there is no need for you to be sarcastic, i will continue the draft because i always do, i am simply saying now looking at it the idea that we can draft "Events" an that we get two of them was a very silly last minute addition.

i made a trae in the interest of the speed of the draft, which i woul be incredibly grateful to people who did that during drafts i cared about.
