Why would Contador have a higher probability of bust than Froome?

Think that Wiggins should line up an attempt on the hour record for sometime next year.It gives him something good to aim at and solves the problem of Sky having nothing for him to do.It seems like a win/win for both parties.

After Quintana made such great watching last year, kind of miffed he's not going to be there.

the only conspiracy is that the UCI will try to avoid either of these guys testing positive imo.. bad for buisness.

Anyway, pretty pumped for this tour as it should be the best in many years.

I wouldn't be surprised if they switch Quintana and Valverde for next year. Quintana does TdF while Valerde does the Giro/Vuelta double.

Really can't imagine Valverde ever doing the Giro. He's way too good and focused at the spring one day races for that imo. I'm sure as long as he's in any way competitive he'll do the usual Tour + Vuelta + Worlds after spring. Still think Quintana doing the Giro was good. Winning Giro is better than focusing on the hardest GT to win that suits him the least. If Movistar was to fully focus on the Tour I think they'd need to bring both of them anyway. Both are always likely to be chasing the better TTers so having options helps when the racing is as controlled as it is usually in the Tour.

Spring one day races? Lol - he is a GT rider and also, a rider that has a somewhat interest in the recognised lead up short tours to the gts such as the Tour of Swiss.

Shall we just ignore Valverde's results in the Ardennes Classics then?

I'd go as far as saying the guy is a better one day racer than a GT rider. Not that he isn't good at both, but he really doesn't have the best tools for winning the long tours. You are right about the shorter stage races though. He's good enough at short TTs and sprinting for bonus seconds to win those. But he's even better at winning single stages and one day races. And he usually rides a lot of them in the spring. Don't think he has ever even started the Giro.

Hamiltons book. Or one of the team sky books, for comedy.

Cav in the big crash. Once again we don't see the big sprint off between all the big guns. Kittel and Sagan only ones who made it to the front.
