I have some hypothetical questions for all of you. What if, on a very high level, Joe was aware in 98 of the JS investigation? Furthermore, what if JVP initiated JS's separation months before the 98 investigation began, thus confirming that his decision had nothing to do with the investigation? What if Spanier, Schultz and Curley conferred with legal counsel in 2001 as well as with JVP before deciding on a plan of action? I'd like to know your knee-jerk reactions to these hypothetical situations.

BWI's contract with Rivals specifies that neither the publisher, the employees of the publisher, or the monitors of the message boards can disclose personal details about any poster based on info they can access when the poster registers a handle. As such, I can't say whether any particular poster is whom they claim to be, or whom they act as they are. Thus, I can't comment on whether the poster in question is who many think it might be.

Other the other hand, I have banned posters for misrepresenting who they are.

I contacted somebody I believe to be Anthony Lubrano through contact information on his BOT candidate site. In that exchange I mentioned some of "lubrano's" posts here, and whoever replied to me clearly understood what was in those posts I referenced.

I just watched and listened to a nearly 15 minute segment about all this on CNN. The report included a five minute interview with Tom Klien, the civil attorney representing victim # 5. Reporter Susan Candiotti went through several of the verbatim email exchanges between Tim Curley, Gary Schultz, and Graham Spanier. The smoking gun from those emails, which attorney Klien pointed out, was a comment from Spanier that "... we could be opening ourselves up to serious problems if we do not report [Sandusky] to Child Welfare, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there." (I'm paraphrasing a bit since I don't have the verbatim text of that email in front of me.) The key point is that Graham Spanier was certainly aware of the fact that Penn State was under a legal duty to report Sandusky to investigative authorities. (In a criminal trial, a statement such as that by Spanier is "mens re" or a consciousness of guilt. It is a very incriminating admission.) Whatever the case, the pertinent fact is that Spanier, Curley, and Schultz never reported Sandusky to Child Welfare - or the police. That failure is a violation of Pennsylvania law.

When you take those four emails and add them all up, it appears that these three men (and possibly Joe Paterno) were engaging in a conspiracy to cover up "the subject" [Sandusky's] acts and behavior. Whether or not Pennsylvania's Attorney General believes it was a criminal conspiracy - and she can prove it - remains to be seen.

Tim Curley and Gary Shultz's lawyers, anticipating additional charges, are already attempting to frame their clients defense. They released a prepared statement - which Ms. Candiotti read on air - insisting that their clients were trying to deal with a very difficult problem in the best way possible, (i.e. that our clients are decent guys who were trying real hard to do the right thing.) Attorney Klien scoffed at this interpretation. He obviously believes these emails have strengthened his client's claim against Penn State.

Even if this was all about Sandusky brutally raping children, Joe couldn't have known. I mean we don't even know if he could use e-mail!
