ROG is so bad at his job he doesn't even understand he can't piss off the guys that put him in the position in the first place. It's amazing really.
Have any owners, besides Kraft obviously, come out and said this punishment is over the top?

the punishment helps every other team. owners are partners but also competitors. it's unlikely that even privately they would be against it, and very unlikely even would say so publicly.

Do you see any irony at all in this investigation vs the leagues growth since 2006 (basically the same year Brady and manning get access to game balls ahead of time)?

Same **** happened in baseball regarding steroid use. Chicks dig the longball!

my index fund has done better than that since 2005 and I haven't done a thing about that (S&P 500 has doubled since 2005). lots of things are worth a ton more than they used to be. you need to consider that, and then attribute the NFL's growth to Goodell specifically before that becomes a reason not to fire him

Have no recollection of ever interacting with you...but again, this seems suspiciously like something a person who is, in fact, mad would say.

You can't "butnahhhhh" opposing counsel during the discovery process in big boy court like they did with this Wells bunch.
If you're talking about Tom Brady's phone, I am not sure it's actually big deal. Tom was advised to not give up his phone to the Wells investigation because of his role in the NFLPA and the upcoming (assuming a civil case is the venue) request for production will be quite narrow in scope.

Not just the phone, one would think that all parties will be deposed and that will go well beyond submitting written questions beforehand.

I don't think this will come as a surprise to Kessler and the Patriots camp.

this is why the days of ROG will end. any effective leader can't allow things like this to happen

Quote:
Ultimately, the NFL will have to ask a federal judge -- someone who spends most of his or her time adjudicating real crime and genuine problems -- to decide what (if any) punishment is fair for a player who might have known that footballs could have been intentionally deflated (by a modest degree) to help him win a game. Its 301-page CBA, theoretically written to provide a blueprint for conflict resolution, is rendered inert.

Exactly, what is going on right now is just chest puffing and pandering to Pats fans' deeply ingrained sense of persecution, victimhood and inferiority. In the end he will roll over like a good little doggie and submit to ROG

So I heard sports Pope Fat Francesa talking that the person the Pats used to find fault with the Wells reports finding on the scientific weather results...The person that was used to do so, his company is funded and bankrolled by no other than.........Mr. Robert Kraft!!! How is that fair and allowed?

HMMMMMM....Now how wont that be a conflict of interest in this case? Will they allow them to use that guy because OBVIOUSLY this tool will do w.e in his power to say and do w.e to make Kraft and his Patriots/Brady look good....

I think this guy should be tossed from the investigation.....Right or wrong?

Anyone else heard this same thing? I heard Big Fat "The sports pope himself" Mike Francesa talking about it and I just found it mega LMFAO LOLLLLLLLLZZZZ.....Typical Patriots!

Thanks!

The nice thing about science is can you review it and decide on its soundness. If the guy is right he's right regardless of incentives.

So in order to call your posting stupid, one has to be mad?? That makes sense.

Keep spreading your idiocy...

I'm guessing you're unfamiliar with the concept of expert testimony... But let me ask you a question.

The company hired by Ted Wells to perform a scientific study justifying the suspension of Tom Brady has previously testified that second hand smoking doesn't cause cancer. This was when they were hired by the tobacco industry. Do you think such a company has more or less integrity than the expert hired by the Patriots? Or about the same?

And that dude should probably get back to Kraft-funded biochemistry and leave the completely unrelated field of the physics of ball inflation to the experts.

Given that firm hired people with actual expertise in the field rather than just some rando biochemist that Kraft happened to give tens of millions of dollars to, I'm going with the second hand smoke guys.

I don't think this matters much. The science is the science in this case and can be proved or disproved regardless of whether or not or how well this guy knows Kraft.

It does, however, make the Pats' complaints about the cozy relationship between the NFL and Wells' law firm more than a little hypocritical.

I think you actually have to have a relevant role in an investigation in order be tossed from it but I could be wrong.

But he didn't ask, "Why is the NFL out to get the team with 4 RANGZ?" Obvious that he is in the NFL's pocket.
