I mean, there is a certain pride that some posters take in being a part of this forum, because of the way this place thinks. Next-level analytics, non-results oriented thinking, etc. etc.
The problem is that the personality traits that lead to such thinking (questioning everything, not trusting authority, disregarding social norms) sometimes gets applied to sensitive topics, thus the same freedom that allows people to operate in new and creative ways also allows them to remove social filters without repercussion.
It's the idea that 'nothing is sacred' that drives this place, both positively and negatively. And I don't think that problem will ever be solved.
