yeah i just started following the GD threads last year, and reading them while watching the games when i had nothing better to do was actually pretty entertaining most of the time. maybe ppl go overboard posting the same meme stuff a million times (e.g. "kicker gonna kicker" before every kick, then a bunch after every miss), but w/e.

It's not really "people" doing this as much as it is Riverman and vixticator specifically.

IMO NFL gameday threads are the best thing about SE. But I'm also one of the worst posters so take that with a grain of salt. Even ThaSaltCracka told me I was awful "24/7"

I think they lend themselves to being awesome threads because of all the predictable coaching and player fail. It's pretty hilarious knowing what is about to happen and then watching it happen.

The game threads are whopper! When you're the other side of the Atlantic and watching the game on your toblerown at 4am - it's nice to type 'loooooooooooooooolllll!' and have it mingle with 30 other similar posts within 60 seconds. Bit of atmosphere you know?

And in any case, not every post is ******ed. Occasionally there will be strands of decent discussion amongst the fluff.

I read every post while its all happening, between some plays and during the uh generous commercial time.

Sometimes I even read game threads from past seasons. Occasionally a few people are a roll with the quick remarks, there's always a few major lol moments in the Sunday threads.
