This is an awful measuring stick for justifying posting ability. Trolls elicit responses, that doesn't make them good. So do people who are chronically wrong.

Good posters often get fewer responses because there's not much to argue about if they're objectively correct or close enough.

I know your a mod with a ton of posts and what not but I completely disagree with this. I know you probably need to think that SE has some worthwhile purpose or is some sort of serious forum because you spend so much of your life here, but it's not. It's a sports forum. Sports is entertainment and a distraction from real life. It's not important. It's not relevant to anything worthwhile. It's an escape and should be treated as such.

The other thing you have to understand is that every person is going to be coming here for a different reason so it's really impossible to judge who good posters are and are not because of the reason they come to the forum and the reason that others come to the forum. I enjoy banter and argument. Others do as well. The ones that have a good argument and good banter with me, I enjoy, even if they would be trolls to you.

Turn off WEEI and open your brain. There's a difference between noise and productive argument.

Funny you say that because (and I know I'm going to get flamed) I hate EEI because it's just noise and I don't think that's what I bring. I actually agree and really think what I argue as opposed to the yahoos on D&C and the big show.
