Real talk: how often have you been to Mexico? Do you understand how unbelievably fortunate you are and how much you owe your father? The attachment to heritage and parent country is understandable but other than the most extreme hipsters most everyone I know in your situation at the least roots for USA secondarily and most root for it more than multi-generational Americans do, due to understanding how much their, and their eventual children's lives are improved thanks to living in the USA.
