In a game like football, basketball, baseball, hockey, whatever 1 bad play or mistake doesn't necessarily kill you. In fact the better team normally overcomes a ton of these.
This is completely untrue IMO. Two weeks ago Peyton Manning made one mistake, throwing a pick in the 4th that got returned for a TD, which cost his team the game.
This is the highest level of sports that we see in the pro leagues and in the Olympics, and the top athletes can perform their respective discipline almost flawlessly. Therefore they should loose if they make a mistake in competition.

There is no possible way that an athlete in the winter olympic's would loose an event because of poor weather. These athletes have been training there entire lives and they have skied(or whatever event) in every type of weather imaginable. These guys grew up on the mountains and they know how crazy the winter weather can be.
