"do you feel like that's a factor, the Canadian ref?"

Ohno: "i think so, absolutely."

edit to say: thanks IOC or what ever governing body is in control for having a Canadian ref with 1/2 the starters being Canadian. brilliant.
I'm glad Ohno got DQed, he such a ****ing jerk, he yawns when they introduce him to the line. Such an arrogant ass hole. *****

Crazy relay tonight. Short track is just so goddamn exciting, male or female. I wish I got to watch it more than once every four years.

If Ohno retires and NBC has no big name to attach to the sport, will it still get prime time coverage in Sochi?

NBC talked to him about the yawning. he does it to calm himself and release stress. it is a technique that is taught in some quarters in high stress situations.

and how exactly is Ohno an arrogant ass hole? i know he lived in Seattle and trained in Vancouver. have you heard some stories about him? or are you just full of **** like i'm guessing?

u seem to know a bunch about this sport so this is a serious question. in the last turn two skaters went down when other skaters put a hand on them. why wasn't hamelin dq'd? it seems "cut and dry" to me. please explain as you know the rules and have more knowledge of this sport than others itt.

Ohno will retire. one of his teammates leaked the info.

re: NBC
if there is no US star then i'm guessing it won't get the all out coverage it got this go around.

I don't see the difference, but at least you're saying their is some consistency. I'm saying they both should be allowed. Sport is a joke otherwise.

not the way i saw it. korean doesn't fall if hamelin doesn't touch him. in fact, hamelin's actions had more to do with the korean going down than ohno's.

but i'm done with this back and forth. canadians have a good short track team.

yeah, you are right on that. i take back my post regarding this earlier. i saw a new replay and the clipping of her skate was huge. for some reason it was all about the bump the night of the coverage but the skate factor was brought to my attention in a replay i saw tonight.

the korean loses his skate edge before hamelin touches him

good day for canada and for the USA.

USA is a huge favorite to break the record for the most total medals ever in an Winter Olympics. Germany got 36 in 2002, and USA has 34 right now. Guaranteed two more in men's hockey and men's relay speed skating, so guaranteed at least a tie. The women's relay is in the semi-finals so they are likely to at least get a bronze, and the 4 man bobsled team is currently way ahead of the field with 2 of 4 runs completed.

USA USA USA

Canada big favorites to end up with most gold after the Hamelin double tonight.

Dunno about 'big' favorites. There are some big swings possible with Canada/U.S. head-to-head for gold in at least three sports.
