Ocarina is a perfectly fine choice, as in SMB3. Both those games have one thing in common ; when they were released, people expected them to be the greatest game ever...and both were at the time.

There's no real counter to Ocarina too. SMB3 is a 2D platformer where you could make the case that it was surpassed quickly after. Ocarina holds up REALLY well, so much that they made it into a 3DS game. You can find flaws in most games... but what's Ocarina's biggest flaw? No bad FMV cut scenes?

Had the best soundtrack for a game too.

there's a similar, better game on the 64, but it would be an inferior pick in this format.

i love OoT with every fiber of my being. i'm actually in the midst of replaying it for like the umpteenth time right now with a friend who's never gone through it before.

it is flawless.

People might be sleeping on Mario 3. Literally nothing more you can do with a game when it was released...maybe add a save state but even without it, it was epic trying to beat the game from start to finish in one sitting.

I have played all Zelda games combined for no more than 5 hours of my life. The most I ever played at once was for ~1.5 hours. Guess I missed out!

Both solid picks. Ocarina of Time not my favorite Zelda game either, but everyone seems to love Ocarina. Will be interested to see where some games go.

It was the most frustrating gaming moment I've ever experienced running through there for the first time.

Spirit Temple is my favorite level/dungeon of all time. You mean I have to play it as a kid and as an adult? Mind blown. Those ****ing witches had it coming.

Does anyone else dread going to the cemeteries in Zelda games? In Ocarina especially...I hated going there. Those ****ing poe's are just bitches. The ****ing field poe's just laughing their asses off out there too, not even trying to hurt me. Well **** them I'm a collect my shiny bottle off you bitches.

first time i played through OoT water temple was my fav because it was the only one where i didn't need my brothers help with the boss (i was like 10).

in all honesty it still may be, just due to how satisfying figuring it out is. plus dark link is a fun mini boss.

and yeah i hate the cemeteries/hyrule field at night. ****in' poes and the undead mfers. sun's song ftw.

re: smb3 my favorite world/land was either sky land or pipe land. haven't played it in awhile though.
