rose pick i think is standard, i think one mistake people make is they just see young+awesome and assume he will improve. i think its totally possible he regresses. he needs to develop more of a perimeter game

wait am i missing something? didn't he learn how to shoot 3s last year? certainly he won't make linear improvements but i think he'll only continue to get better on the defensive end under thibs, and he's apparently already drilled into his head the importance of 3s... and he likes to work hard. i have never been a huge d.rose supporter, but i do believe he'll get better (though his improvement last offseason cannot be expected to be duplicated), and with his athleticism he could be awfully ****ing good.

i actually think this is the worst spot in the entire draft to pick.

that said, there are people who know bout winning more than k.love

griffin was someone i was hoping would fall to me at 20, so i definitely didn't expect him to get chosen there. will be hard to top the kobe and gasol abortions tho.

that is possible, but his attempted number of 3s is indicative of thibs coming over in the offseason and saying "look, im quite sure you don't do math, but TRUST ME BRO, you wanna shoot from HERE, not from HERE. and it'd be swell if you could make 'em, so just shoot 500 a day and you'll be mvp."

his improvement last offseason in volume and efficiency from 3 was just too much to be an outlier. he went from shooting less than 1 per game (.8) to shooting ALMOST FIVE per game (4.8) and went from 26% to 33%. possible he doesn't improve this year (Variance and stuff; though i'd be shocked if he shot under 30%) but it seems like his best shooting days are still ahead of him. shot selection and taking care of the basketball are two things that should improve with age, especially under a good coach.

Kind of interesting to see how he will do this year after losing a bunch of weight. Hopefully he still rebounds like crazy so my team will atleast have that going for us. Not really happy where I'm picking, but Love I think has more potential to have a really sick season than some others here IMO

If you buy into the "KLove's team sucks" argument, then you have to say the same for Blake too. And Blake had a MUCH better cast around him.

I think both picks are fine fwiw, just very difficult to defend.
