jw what do we think of roy overall? me and chris were talking about it and he was talking negatively about him and i was thinking man is this what everyone thinks about him?

id say if 5 years ago when he signed if they told us this is what would happen id think this is like ceiling. Players love him so they stay for 3 maybe 4 years. He's a sick sick recruiter and isn't as good an in game coach as ppl give him credit but i think hes not as bad as ppl on here say either. not the point where it hurts us

I think Roy's recruiting is so good that some people underrate his coaching. To say he doesn't make adjustments is a bit of a joke IMO. Today he put Green on Thornton, put Davis in for rebounding/defense when that's what we were lacking, etc.

Since he's gotten to UNC he's 172-37 ffs. That # gets a little more sick when you realize he lost 11 games his first year here. Also, he's 17-4 in the NCAA tournament at UNC as of now. Obviously, he's recruited well but it's not like every team he's ever had has been loaded (see: 05-06 UNC).

I just think he does some awful in game stuff, but he's finally starting to put Davis>Thompson in big situations so I guess he's making me eat my words.

He's obviously very respected by everyone around him and an A-list recruiter. But he really frustrates me especially at end of games (see Wake, Maryland)

Overall obviously a good coach. Seeing a team as poorly coached as LSU today was by Trent Johnson has to make you appreciate Roy.

More Ed. Been saying that all year. Guy is a true defensive force in the paint and has excellent post moves. I hope he stays next year (I know odds are high), he'll be the star of the team. Thank god for Ty and Ellington though, we needed you two badly.

I am hopeful that Davis will be around UNC for a while as his dad (Terry Davis) made $14 million playing in the NBA, so he's at least in no rush to cash in I would think.

if we play OU, will need a lot of Ed on Griffin. Griffin is obviously a beast but I think Ed can give him a good fight.

Anyone know game times for Friday/Sunday? Trying to make it there for the games.

Hell yeah. I came back from work in Puerto Rico, I got up at 3:30 AM EST so I would make sure i didn't miss my flight and it was a bitch during the layover in Atlanta today. I expect more UNC fans in the next game. I would be out partying but my brother who I paid for tickets forgot to bring his ID. I got really excited that they had tickets on ticketmaster on the Monday after selection Sunday that I bought tickets then. Found out this week I could have gotten tickets from Gonzaga and sat in the lower bowl for the same price. Also had club level tickets on sale on Ticket master late this week. Kinda pisses me off. My seats weren't bad, and last year during the final four my tickets to game 1 and 2 were god awful, but obviously I wouldn't complain if my tickets were better. I'd say UNC >> OU >> Cuse >>>>> Gonzaga crowd wise for the first two games.
