Oh bullshyt. There is some adjustment time that's all.

Not trying to hijack thread with Louisville talk but I knew some ridiculous stuff would happen early. I believe this is still true: Louisville has never been rated number 1 in any poll during any regular season. LOL. Once years ago they were number two and number one lost earlier that day. They take the court at Freedom Hall getting ready to ascend to number one for the first time ever (I mean that's weird considering the teams they've had). Early in first half Pervis Ellison goes down looking like Gayle Sayers or thoroghbred with legs buckling up under him and just terrible looking. They get drilled and no number one. Ellison okay just missed a couple weeks or so.

UNC has shot to be #1 some 25 straight weeks this year if they can pull of the wire to wire thing.

I bet you L-ville isn't ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season. You guys shot 27% against a team that will probally not even make the tourney and was 2-2 before this game which lost to Houston and Murray State.

Nope. I would be hesitant to even bet they won't lose 10 games. That Big East schedule is going to be brutal and obviously it doesn't take exactly a monster to knock them off. I still like them for FF as long as they stay healthy which is a long way to go.

I'll take your FF bet then. 50 on PS/Full tilt?

Your right BE is tough and I don't know how many L-ville will win in the conference although ND needs the big man back quickly.

Well, it's not even-money. There's fan talk and then there's gamblin' talk. LOL. I generally don't mix'em capriciously.

Wow. Not making Sweet 16 would be a big folderino, but that is certainly on the table.

However ah sho would bet them to. But now were down to the gooses and ganders. You'd need odds to make that bet just like I'd need odds to take them against the field in their regional.

I bet you would since their ~ 2/1 to win it all. I don't blame you for shopping like that, but I ain't your Huckleberry.

I do believe ANYTHING, from good to bad, is on the table for Cards this year. That can't be said of biggest futures fav to win tourney since UCLA dynasty years.

The only thing that can stop UNC this year is injuries. It's really not fair though, for most teams Tyler, Wayne and Lawson would have all gone pro by now (and maybe Green). It's good for UNC fans though. I have big hopes and really would like to go to Detroit and not go home upset like I did in San Antonio last year.

"The way it is in college basketball, people usually only talk about the way you finish. But I'm one of those guys, I like to enjoy the journey. ... I love coming here [Maui] - three wins, I feel good. I'm going frickin' parasailing or something tomorrow and having a good time. I'm going to enjoy my life. I'm trying to get our fans to do that and stop thinking about what might happen in Detroit in the middle of April." -Roy Williams

Meh, standard. He'd be silly to say anything different.

I don't buy in to the one game at a time spiel. If I were a coach or a player I would, but as a fan I am going to make the most out of the glory this season should be!

Not like I'm not used to being disappointed if it happens, we've not won it all 23 out of 25 years I've been alive.

Also, this isn't the kind of team that "needs to lose a game" or that cliche you always hear on ESPN.

All the stars came back to win, amirite?

Undefeated or bust!

One of the things this team has going for it is a sense of total inevitability and the intimidation factor that that brings. I really think we're better off not losing any games, although it probably wouldn't matter that much.

The team is awesome. The sense of inevitablilty, which is a great way to put it, works against you in a close game. It takes true, true championship fibre (for any who believe such thing exists) to keep delivering under those conditions. There was a discussion of going undefeated versus picking up a loss or two (and using it for refocus and motivation) either in this thread or a football thread. It only applies to awesome teams like this who realistically can run the table. Of course it can end at any time, a team 20 points worse than them can knock them off. I for one am on the side that being undefeated does add difficulty by detracting slightly from focus of preparation for opponent by all the "can we stay undefeated" talk AND THINKING. A monster champion keeps winning under those conditions, imo.

We always struggle one or two games on the road in the ACC versus someone we are definitely better than. Clemson gave us a ton of problems last year, we lost to Maryland on the road and Duke without Lawson. This years team is better though but undefeated is tough no matter how good you are.

This year's Tar Heels have notched an assist on 59.8% of their field goals; last year's team recorded an assist on 52.5% of their field goals.

During the Duke game they mention that Tyler might not play tomorrow night. I don't think we definitely need him but I would definitely prefer him to play.

It's gonna be tight for a while tonight. Then Michigan State will find out the true meaning of what being in shape really is as we pull away comfortably

That's the way ratface coaches his team:

(1) Get away with as many hand slaps as possible.

(2) Go down like a heap of brinks if grazed while in the paint.

(3) Whenever the ball goes out of bounds turn to the ref and point in dook's direction (preferably accompanied by yelling at the ref).

Works great in ACC play but typically backfires against them in the NCAAs where the refs aren't ACC refs.
