they can do that on a ball that bounces out of play down the lines. they can't do it on balls that bounce over the outfield fence. i'm guessing at wrigley stuck in the ivey is viewed the same way.

thoughts on not pinch hitting for degrom?

i know hes rly good and the mets got screwed but with 2 outs runners on 2nd and 3rd up 1 i think i bring in a bat off the bench there and try to get a base hit
