Congrats 702, Malucci et al, well deserved!

Too bad i was there when they lost a series to Jose, kept betting vegas and wondering "how the hell did they lose?" Especially that last game lol. Gotta go through that adversity i suppose.

Aghh we all remember when the owner promised a cup in 6 years and laughed.

Does this cup say that in order to win a cup you need a balanced team and spending more than half your payroll on 3 players will not work

I wonder how Priz feels about Cassidy winning a Cup this year.

I didn’t have a great playoffs but more than doubled my buy in over the last two games, so that was nice, and last night was a game I couldn’t have gotten more right. The books had to have taken a bloodbath on that one.

Now we must move our attention to the draft and FA, which is always fun before the couple of months of nothing before the season.

Happy for 702, but do still want to hear that rant you had planned The NHL Thread

He won it on the 9 year anniversary of scoring the double OT Cup clinching winner against the Rangers.

This was Malkin’s IG story today.

Love Phil for helping get 2 cups for Pittsburgh and one for VGK. Love that he has 3 when many said he’d never get one. The NHL ThreadThe NHL ThreadThe NHL Thread

vgk definitely has a goalie issue to deal with in the offseason. sadly Hill probably will have to be allowed to walk. I have no idea what they are going to do with Robin Lehner.

OK Malucci, u want a rant, u got a rant...

imo the parade they've scheduled is total BS. What local wants to be forced to go to the Strip on Saturday night...and get gouged for parking and hanging out to boot? The tourists will have better access to the parade which is crap (no offense tourists).

The parade should be a local celebration and not some moneymaking opportunity nonsense for the strip casinos. I thought I had originally heard it was going to be in Summerlin on Saturday morning. That would have been great and easy for everyone to access. They could have started it anywhere in that area and have it end at the Red Rock or several locations near there (including their practice facility). There would have been plenty of room & parking for everyone in that area. Plus it would be much cooler in that part of town in the morning. They already do a lot of charity walks & runs in the Summerlin area so blocking off a road for a few hours there has been done with no problem before. But nooooooo....let's screw the locals. I was excited to go to this but I may not now. Really disappointed about this.

Personally, I don't get the allure of going to a parade unless you like crowds and watching drunk athletes and owners make a fool out of themselves. Just not my thing, but you do you.

Yeah, never heard of a night parade (but I guess there’s never been a Knight parade), and was shocked it was Saturday night, but then I realized of course it is. They want all the people who are going to get down there and be hammered to gouge them as hard as possible and of course the strip casinos need to be involved in that.

Lol at them ever caring about the fans, hardcore people are going no matter what, and if you wanted something cheaper or were never going to spend money, they don’t want you there or care about you in any way.

I went to the first period of Game 5 out there the other night and it was such a horrific nightmare that I wouldn’t even remotely consider going to the parade. I’m glad I had that eye opener, never again.

I’m sure there will be coordinated bus trips and stuff probably offered by Station Casinos. So you can be on a bus with people you’re going to be pressed up against for 3 hours. Enjoy!

Never been to a sports club team championship parade, so perhaps. But when finland have won lol hockey worlds, the party has been fun and everyone on a super mood. Dont usually love crowds even. And for example the Argentinian world cup party looked insane. Kinda surprised that such events would be not fun, and too bad if so. Of course if really do not enjoy crowds, and frown on alcohol consumption, then sure.

Leafs want a long-term contract with Matthews so they are going to overpay and it makes me want to throw up,lol. They do want long-term contracts kick still as they wanted us where I am under a long term.

Got a OH s!@# boys! The billionaire owner (Larry Tanenbaum) is coming to my location in September! Going to tell him I will take millions of dollars a year, o.k. $100,000 a year to be a motivation coach and kick these overpaid babies in the ass, tickets to a game in his private box? LOL

Got a pic of Jack Eichel walking out of a Raising Cains earlier today after his hour long "shift" (he was doing some promo work pretending to be an employee). He was completely swarmed by a massive crowd that had gathered so this was the best pic I was able to get unfortunately.

Ended up renting a car for the weekend. Gonna play a seniors event at Orleans to keep me away from the strip.

I think so sadly, but wondering if they are trying to offer a long term to get the per year down. That's just my thinking though.
