ok so this was the weirdest game ever. i didn't look at the stats at all throughout the game, and after i was trying to guess what the xg was, and figured it'd be like 60% oilers, that they didn't dominate as the scoreline suggested. should have trusted my instinct more i guess.

the panthers were actually better at 5v5, the oilers did a lot of damage on the powerplay, bob and the other guy weren't very good in net, skinner was. on the xg it should have been like 5-4 oilers, again, very strange game.

hey hey, mcdrai weren't horrible defensively in this one, for a change. nurse was though, he was the worst. and ceci was once again good. interesting. another good game from an oiler depth line, they'll need to keep it up if they're gonna complete the comeback. and skinner will need to be great for 3 more games also. i don't like their odds.

otherwise, they took too many penalties obviously (some were pretty bad calls, again), and the goalies sucked for a change. hopefully they don't freak out about the result and realize that they didn't actually play that bad, just need to tighten a few things up and then they can take the cup to south beach on tuesday.
